Abstract of Title for Mr John Miles of a Messurge and Close in Hanslope in the County of Bucks purchasd by his late father Mr Richard Miles deceased, to one John Dennis and Others.
12th October 1651- Feoffment with livery, endorsed by George Wilkinson in discharge of the trust in him by John Wilkinson and said John Wilkinson of £130 grant to Thomas Freeman and his heirs. This includes Haversham Place, 4a of land in the centre of Hanslope, (Probably Dennis's Close), this land is owned by William Panter, butcher.
June 1659- Will of Thomas Freeman, leaving his estate he purchased from the Wilkinsons to his wife which will revert to his son when he turns 22 years.
April 1708- Feoffment with livery between Edward Gregory and Mary his wife and Thomas Brice and his wife Ann and Catherine Freeman, (widow of Thomas Freeman) and John Dennis an his wife Elizabeth to keep said properties and land for the rest of his life and his heirs.
Dec 1711- Mortgage for the said John Dennis and his wife for £50 and interest, Richard Wendleborough for the said properties and land.
9th-10th April 1714- Mortgage is transferred from John Dennis and his wife Elizabeth, to Richard Miles and his heirs.
1st July 1719- Confirmation of exchange of land and mortgage of the said properties and land between John Dennis and his wife Elizabeth, Edward Gregory and wife Mary, and Charles Lane, unto Richard Miles and his heirs. The properties and land include 4 messurges, 4 gardens, 4 orchards, 4a land, 45a of land and common pasture for cattle to graze.
