In the name of god Amen The 25th daie of August 1636 I Marke Travell of Hanslapp in the countie of Bucks yeoman, beinge sicke in bodie but in good and perfect remembrance, thankes be given to god, doe constitute make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge; viz ffirst I bequeath my soule into the handes of allmightie god my maker and to his sonne Jesus Christe my onely saviour and redeemer; and my bodie to christian buriall expectinge a glorious resurrection; as concerninge my worldly goods I give them as followeth; Imprimis I give unto Henry Travell my sonne xxs (twenty shillings) of lawfull mony of England; Item I give and bequeath unto Anne Beacham my daughter xxs of like lawfull mony of England, Item I give and bequeath unto Marke Travell my grandechilde all that ffee farme lande meadowe and pasture which I lately bought of Bennet Ellis to him and his heires forever; Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Travell my grandechilde, one ioyned bedd, a feather bed, wheare on I lye, twoe bolsters with all my pewter and brasse, one pillowe, twoe coverletts, twoe blanketts, with five paire of sheetes and all the rest of my linnen and howse holde stuffe whatsoever; Item I give unto the poorest of Hanslapp xs (ten shillings): all the rest of my goodes, leases and chattells whatsoever I give unto Robert Travell my sonne whome I make my sole executor of this my last will and testament he payinge my debts and funerall expences, and doe appointe Thomas Travell my brother and John Beacham my sonne in lawe to be my overseers, and doe give them for theire paines 2s 4 pence a peece; these beinge witnesses by me required Willyam Stamar Richard Harberd Proved 4th November 1636 |
