In the Name of God Amen I Anne the wife of Henry Herbert of Hanslop in the County of Bucks Esq. being in health and of sound disposeing minde and memorie considering the uncertainty of this life doe by virtue of the power unto mee in that behalfe granted by my said husband make and ordaine my last will and Testament in manner following Imprimis I bequeath my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator in hopes of eternall salvation by the meritts of Jesus Christ my Saviour and my body to bee decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And as to my estate I dispose thereof as followeth ffirst I give to my Sister Mary Ratney Mourning Item I give to the Lady Herbert my Mother-in-law and to Mrs Magdalen Morley and Mrs Elizabeth Herbert my Sisters in law to any of them Mourning and to Mr ffrancis Chamberlaine of London Grocer and Mrs Chamberlaine his wife to each of them Mourning and to my Goddaughter Elizabeth Morley when shee attaines the age of Twelve monethes I give Tenne guineys to buy her a peece of plate to bee marked with my husbands Armes and ........ Item I give to  Mrs fforth if in my sister Mary's service at my decease a gold ring and to Elizabeth Cooper the wife of John Cooper and Elizabeth Roberts the wife of Evan Roberts to each of them a gold ring of twenty shillings value a peece and to my maid Jane Scarron if in my service at my decease I give Twenty shillings to buy her a ring As to all the rest and residue of my estate whatsoever reall or personall  to which I have or may any way clayme any right title or interest in law or equity I give devise and bequeath the same aswell reall or personall withall my right title and interest therein or thereto in law or equity To my deare and loveing husband the said Henry Herbert Esq. To have and to hold unto the said Henry Herbert his heires executors and administrators respectively to the sole only and proper use of the said Henry Herbert his heires Excutors and administrators respectively And I doe hereby constitute and appoint my said deare and loveing husband Henry Herbert Esq sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament  In Witness whereof I have hereunto putt my hand and seale this sixth day of ffebruary  Anno Domini One Thousand six hundred eighty one in the thirty fourth yeare of the reigne of our Sovereign Lord Charles the second by the grace of God of England etc King Defender of the ffaith etc Ann Herbert Signed Sealed and published to bee her last Will and testament in presence of Jane Scarron Tho: Edwards Hump. Memorandum That I Henry Herbert of Hanslop in the County of Bucks Esq have given and granted and doe hereby give grant and confirm unto my deare and loving wife Anne Herbert full power and authority to make her last Will and Testament in writing and therein and thereby I give devise and dispose of all her estate reall and personall to which shee hathe or may any way clayme any right title or interest in law or equity as shee shall think fitt  Witness my hand and seale this Sixth day of ffebruary Anno Dom One thousand six hundred eighty one in the thirty fourth yeare of the reign of our Sovereign Lord Charles the second by the grace of God of England etc King Defender etc H.
