In the Name of God Amen Aprill the fifth in the second yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord James the Second by the Grace of God now King of England  1686 I Charles Gutteridge of Hanslapp in  the County of Bucks husbandman being in Good health and perfect minde and Memory thanks be to God doe make and Ordaine this my Last Will and Testament in manor and fforme ffollowing and ffirst I comitt my Soule into the hands of Almighty God hopeing to have free pardon of all my Sins in and through the precious blood of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer and my Body to the Earth to be decently Buryed at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named and as touching those Earthly blessings which it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I doe give and dispose the same as ffolloweth Imprimis I doe give and bequeath to my Sonn Robert Gutteridge the Sume of ffive pounds Item I doe give and bequeath to my Grandchild Katherine Bankes Twenty Shillings Item I doe give and bequeath to my Loveing Wife Jane Gutteridge the Rest and Residue of all my Goods and Chattells Moveable and un moveable unbequeathed my debts being paid These my Legacies perfomed my ffunerall Expences discharged whome I doe make my full and Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Terstament Revokeing all other former Wills and Testaments at any time made by me  Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written Charles Gutteridge Signed Sealed and published by the said Testator in the presence of Samuel Clipton his marke William Bolton Fran. Butlin
