In the name of god Amen: The ffower and twentieth daie of ffebruary, and in the yeare of our lord god 1636: Anthony Dudley of Hanslapp in the countie of Bucks: Servant at husbandry, doe constitute make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge viz  ffirst I bequeathe my soule into the hands of allmyghtie god my maker and to his sonne Jesus Christe my onely Saviour and redeemer; and my bodie to christian burial expecting a glorious resurrection; as concerninge my worldly goods I give them as followeth;  Item I give and bequeath my howse and land to Elizabeth Dudley my mother duringe her naturall life, and after her decease I give my saide howse and land with all and singular theire appurtenances to William Dudley my brother and his heires forever; out of which lande he shall paie unto George Dudley my brother ffifteene pounds, and five pounds more of lawfull mony of England to be paide unto John Dudley my godsonne;  Item I give and bequeath unto John Dudley my brother xxs (20s)  Item I give and bequeath unto Mathias Dudley my brother fower pounds of lawfull mony of England;  Item I give unto my sister Jane the wife of Peter Davers five pounds of like lawfull (money) of England   Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Ellis spinster the daughter of Christopher Ellis, my true and faithfull freinde tenn pounds of lawfull mony of England to be paide within fower moneths after my decease  all the rest of my goods unbequeathed, my debts beinge paide and my funerall expences dischardged I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Dudley my mother whome I make my executrix of this my last will and testament; and I doe appointe my loveing freindes Christopher Ellis and Marke Travell my overseers of this my last will and testament, and give them for their paines xiid (12 pence) a peece;  In witnes wheareof I have set to my hande and seale the daie and yeare first above written  Sealed and delivered in the presence of Mark Travell  Richard Ellis  Richard Hawbeard
