In the name of god Amen the xx th day of September in the yeare of the raigne of our soveraigne Lord Jeames by the grace of god of England ffrance and Ireland kinge defender of the fayth the xj th and of Scotland xlvij th:  Anno din 1613  I Christopher Wren of Hanslop in the Countie of Bucks yeoman weake of Bodie but of good and p[er]fect memorie god be praysed doe make and ordayne this my last will and testament in maner and forme folowinge:  that is to say  first I comend my soule into the hands of god my maker hopinge assuredlie through the Meritts of Jesus Christe my saviour to be made partaker of liefe everlastinge:  and I comend my bodie to the earthe whereof yt is made:  Item I bequeath all my lands tenements and heriditaments to there and onlie there appurtenances whatsoever situate and beeinge wi[i]thin the maner and p[ar]ish of Hanslop aforesayd as foloweth  I give unto Mary my wiefe for and duringe her natural liefe for and towards the p[er]formance of this my will and after her decease unto Hugh Wren my sonne and to the heires of his bodie lawfulie begotten and for default of such issue unto Anne, Joane, Parnell and Mary my daughters and theire heires forever  Item I give unto Mary my weife in further p[er]formance of this my will all my leases for yeares whatsoever in possession .. for  duringe soe many yeares as she the sayd Mary shall hapen to live yf the leases shall soe longe continue and endure and from and after her decease the residue of the sayd yeares then to come and unexpired of and in the sayd leases and towards the like performance of this my will to be unto the sayd Hugh Wren my sonne:  Item I give unto John Wren my sonne, Elizabeth and .... my daughters, xij d a peece: having allready payd or secured  by Obligacon unto them their third parte or porcion of my goods   Item I give unto Jone my daughter x l to be payd unto her within one yeare after her marriage, and unto Parnell my daughter  xx l to be payd to her when she shall have accomplished the age of xxj yeares alsoe unto Mary my daughter xx to be payd to her when she shall have accomplished the age of xxj yeares:  Item I give unto Robert Woodhams and unto Thomas Woodhams one sheepe a peece and unto Henry Newman my Godchild a hogerel: The residue of all my goods and chatels unbequeathed I give and bequeath for and towards the p[er]formance of this my will.  unto Mary my lovinge wiefe whome I make my sole executrix of this my last will and testament duringe her naturall liefe, charging her as she will answer yt at the dreadful day of Judgement, to see this my present will and testament well and trulie executed and performed, and the legasies given and bequeathed as a benefactor well and trulie payd,  And my further will and meaninge is that my sayd executrix shall bring upp maintayne and keepe my sayd children accordinge to ther abilitie and ther severall necesities untill ther sayd legasies shallbe to them payd  And yf my sayd wiefe shall happen to die before the sayd legacies shallbe fully payd then my will and meaninge is that my sonne Hughe shallbe myne executor and bring up mayntayne and keepe my sayd children untill ther sayd legacies shallbe payd and shall allsoe pay ther sayd legacies as they shall grow due and payable and I doe further constitute and appoynte John Scrivens and Henry Newman of Hanslopp aforesayd yeoman to be overseers of this my last will and testament: And I doe give to them xij d apeece  in wittnesse whereof I have heerunto subscribed my hand and set to my seale unto this my will and testament the day and yeare first above written in the presence of those whose names are under written
