Memorandum That in or about the month February In the yeare of our Lord 1643 Edward Truelove late of Hanslap in the Arch Deaconry of Bucks and Disocesse of Lincoln deceased being of sound and perfect memory Did make his last will and Testament in writeing And in the p[rese]nce of Nathaniell Nettmaker Clerk and one Richard Horne late of Hanslap above sayd since deceased Did signe Seale and publish the same to be his last will and Testam[en]t w[hi]ch sayd will in writeing was lost by Reason of ye late Troubles and Distractions in this nation, The Ten..e of w[hi]ch will was to this effect viz First he gave unto Jane Truelove his wife his Dwelling house in Hanslap abovesayd  w[i]th ye Barnes Stables Outhouses Orchards Backsides and Appurtenances thereto belonging dureing her naturall life,  He alsoe gave unto her All his Moveable goods w[i]thin doores and w[i]thout for and towards her owne maintenance and the bringing up of his children that should be left w[i]th her at his decease  And his will and mind was therein expressed that after ye Death of ye sayd Jane The sayd House, Barnes, Stables, Outhouses, Orchards, Backsides and appurtenances should be sold by her Executors soe soone as conveniently they could, And that the monye soe Raised should be equally devided amongst his children that should be then liveing  And in case that his wife Jane in the meanetyme should come to any wants his will then was that shee should have power to sell the sayd house Barnes Stables Outhouses Orchards Backsides and Appurtenances for to supply her wants  And his will was that the Overplus of the money w{hi]ch shee should receive for ye same should be equally Devided amongst his children w[hi]ch should be liveing by her Executors w[i]thin three months next after her decease And alsoe by the for[sai]d Will he did constitute and appoynt the sayd Jane Truelove his wife sole Executrix;  Nathaniel Netmaker
