In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Bankes of hanslap in the County of Bucks widow being in health of body and of a sound and disposeing minde memory and understanding (praised be God for the same) but considering the many ........... of humane life and being willing to settle and dispose of that temporall estate which it hath pleased God to give me doe in order thereto make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following that is to say Imprimis I give unto my Daughter in Law Joan .......... the sum of one Shilling Item I give unto my son James Bankes the sum of one Shilling Item I give unto my son William Bankes the sum of one Shilling Item I give unto my daughter Mary Bankes my gold ring a large diaper tablecloth and five napkins thereunto belonging and the bed bedding great chest and trunke in the chamber where I lye Item I alsoe give to my daughter Mary the hanging press the round table I alsoe give to my daughter Mary the five largest pewter dishes the biggest skillett the biggest kettle but one and in case my said daughter Mary Bankes shall allow my Executor hereinaftr named two years after my decease for the payment of her dividend or share of the personall Estate of my late husband John Bankes deceased who dyed intestate then and in such case and not otherwise I give unto my said daughter Mary Bankes soe much money as will make up her dividend or share of the personall Estate of my said late husband the full sum of Twenty pounds Item I give unto my daughter ffrances Bankes a sett of white curtains which are in  the ffirst chamber a little table in the chamber where I lye and the pewter chamber pott the warming pan one holland sheet and two pair of other sheets And in case my said daughter ffrances Bankes shall allow my Executor hereinafter named two years after my decease for the payment of her dividend or share of the personall Estate of my said late husband John Bankes deceased then and in such case and not otherewise I give unto my said daughter Mary Bankes soe much money as will make up her dividend or share of the personall Estate of my said late husband the full sum of Twenty pounds Item all the rest residue and remainder of my goods chattells and personal Estate not herein before otherwise disposed of I give devise and bequeath unto my son John Bankes whom I make sole Executor of this my last will and testament  And I doe hereby revoke and make void all former wills heretofore by me made In Witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament sett my hand and seale this ffirst day of July in the third year of the Reigne of our Sovereign Lord George by the Grace of God of Great Brittain and ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the faith Anno Domini 1717 the marke of Elizabeth Bankes Signed Sealed published and declared by the Testatrix to be her last will and testament in the presence of  Richard Nicoll Anne Susan Charles King
