In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Newman of Hanslapp in the County of Bucks Widdow beinge weak in Body but of good and sound memory Blessed be Almighty God for it doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament and first I bequeath my Soule to God my maker, trusting through the meritts of Jesus Christ my saviour and Redeemer to receive Remission of all my sinnes and my inheritance amongst them that are sanctified by ffaith through his blood and commit my Body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Eecutors hereafter named in hope of a glorious Resurrection unto everlasting life  And for my worldly estate which God of his infinite goodnes and mercy hath sent mee I doe give and dispose of in manner following   Item I give Tenne pounds to be payd by my Executors hereafter named for and towards the bindinge and puttinge forth an Apprentice my younge sonne John Benton which I bare to my former husband Leonard Benton, when my said Executors shall thinke him able for the same. Item I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Newman which I bare to my latter husband Henry Newman one hundred pounds to be paid unto her by my said Executors when shee shall attaine the age of one and Twenty yeares or at the day of marradge which shall ffirst happen which hundred pounds I the said Elizabeth my heires Executors and Administrators in a certainer obligation stand bound to pay her in lew of a porcon or Legacie which shee shall or may hereafter clame to have out of the Estate of my sayd latter husband   All the rest and residue of my goods and Chattells my debts Legacyes and funerall beinge paid and discharged I doe give to my Executors hereafter named in trust for the use and benefitt of my said Children (viz) Leonard Benton John Benton and Elizabeth Newman to be equally parted amongst them when they shall attaine to their severall ages of one and Twenty yeares and my will and meaning is that if any of my sayd Children Leonard John or Elizabeth shall happen to dye before they shall attaine to their severall ages That then the part and porcon of him or her soe dyinge shall be equally shared betweene the survivors  And I doe make and ordaine my Loveing Brother Christopher Beauchampe of the Citty of London Gent. and my loveing Kinsman John Beauchampe of Cosgrove in the County of Northampton yeoman and Richard Rawlins of the same yeoman my Executors in full power and trust to performe this my will; hopeing that they will be carefull to doe their in  ........ to improve my Estate to the best advantage of my said Children and what charges they shall be at concerninge the same, my will is shall be paid out my Estate which I loane in trust with them five shillings apeece to buy them every one a paire of gloves  And I desire my Loveing ffather in Law Leonard Benton of Potterspury in the County of Northampton Potter and my Loveing Neighbour Joseph Dauks of Hanslop aforesaid School Master to be the overseers of this my will hopeinge (they) will be aydinge and assistinge to my said Executors in performinge the same and I give them for their paines five shillings apeece to buy them gloves And in Testimony that this y last will and Testament I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the six and Twentieth day of July in the Thirteenth yeare of th Raigne of our Soveraine Charles the second by the grace of God of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland king defender of the ffaith etc and in the yeare of our Lord God (1661)    Elizabeth Newman;  Signed Sealed published and acknowledged to be my last will and Testament in the presence of Mary Byrchmore the marke of Henry ....
