In the Name of God Amen the thirtyeth day of October in ye yeare of our Lord 1673 I Griffin Travell of Hanslopp in the County of Bucks Lacebuyer being of good and perfect memory thankes be given unto God for ye same, but calling unto mind ye mortallity of my ... and knowing tis appointed for all men once to die, doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following, that is to say ffirst and principally I give my soule into ye hands of God, that gave it me, And for my body I commend it to ye earth to be buryed in decent manner, not doubting but at ye general Resurrection I shall receive ye same agen by ye mighty power of God.  And as toutching such Worldly estate whereith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise, bequeath and dispose the same in manner and form following  ffirst as toutching the Messuage or Tenement and two yards thereto belonging and now therewith used, which I purchased of Elizabeth Parrot widdow and Paul Parrot sonne and heire apparent of Griffin Parrot and which said Messuage or Tenement is now devided into three tenements, Scituate and being in Hanslopp in ye County of Bucks and are in ye severall occupations of Henery Travell Katherine Reeve widdow and James Richardson I give and bequeath unto my two grandchildren Elizabeth Goodman and Hannah Goodman daughters of Robert Goodman and to theire heires for ever, excepting always two stables, one barn and a woodhouse standing upon part of ye yard that is annexed to ye Tenements of Katherine Reeve and James Richardson aforesaid with free ingresse and regresse thereunto through the said yards, which .............. afterwards is specifyed. Item in case either of the sisters Elizabeth or Hannah die without heires I give the whole three tenements forementioned with theire appurtenances to the surviving Sister and her heires and in case they both die to come to Dorcas and Travell Goodman.  Item as toutching that Messuage or Tenement, wherein I now dwell being a new house built upon part of a yard that I purchased of Elizabeth Parrot and Paul Parrot I give and dispose in manner following.  The parlour, one chamber above that and one garret above that, together with ye free use of ye yard to lay wood in, ye use of ye garden to walke, dry cloths, or take pot hearbs or ye like and ye use of the pond to fetch water at  I give and bequeath the same unto my grandchild Dorcas Goodman and to her heires for ever.  As toutching ye rest and residue of the aforesiad new house, yard gardens outhouses and appurtenances w[ha]tsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining I give and bequeath the same to my grandchild Travell Goodman and his heires, together also with a barne and ye great Stable standing......................................

And of this my last will and testament I make constitute and appoint my grandchildren Elizabeth and Dorcas Goodman my full and sole Executrixes.  And I appoint my neighbours  and John Scriven and John Cook of Hanslopp overseers of this my last will and Testament and desire and entrust them to see to the Letting and setting of that part or Moity of the new house with all and every the appurtenances that I have herein  hereby given and annexed thereto and which I have bequeathed to my grandchild Travell Goodman, and to take and receive the yearly rents and profits thereof and to employ it for the use of my said grandchild Travell Goodman. And I doe hereby utterly disallow revoke and annull all, and every former Wills and Testaments, Legacys bequeaths and Executors by me in any wise before this time named, willed and beqqueathed, ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last Will and Testament. In wittnesse whereof I have hereunto set my hand and sealed the day and yeare above written The marke of Griffin Travell  Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Griffin Travell as his last will and testament in ye presence of us William Barton Edward Harrald
