In the name of God Amen I Thomas ffoulkes of Castle Thorpe in the parish of Hanslop in the County of Bucks yeoman being aged and infirme of body but of good and perfect memory (thankes bee given to God for the same) doe make this my Last Will and Testament as followeth ffirst and Cheifly I comitt my Soule unto Almighty God that gave itt hoping to be saved onely by the presious death and merritts of his deare Sonne my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to bee decetly buryed according to the discretion of mine Executrix hereinafter named And as to that personall estate which God in his mercie hath here sent me (Cheifly consisting in Arreares of wayes ffees and Liveries due unto me as Yeoman Pricker to his Majesties Buckhounds) I will and dispose thereof as followeth And first I give and bequeath unto my loving Wife Anne ffoulkes the summe of tenn pounds of Currant English money And I give unto my Sonne ffrancis ffoulkes twenty pounds of like currant money And I alsoe give unto my daughter Mary now Wife of John Hillier of Courtenhall in the County of Northampton tenn pounds of like money to bee paid unto them proportionably after my decease by mine Executrix herein after named soe soon as shee shall receive the same out of the Wayes fees and Liveries which shall appeare to bee due unto me att the time of my decease (the reasonable Costs Charges and expences of mine Executrix or her Assignes in obtaineing and recovering of the said Arreares or any part thereof being first and fully satisfied and deducted All the rest and residue of my Said Arreares and other my personall Estate whatsoever (Any debts and funerall expences being discharged) I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth the Wife of Richard Parrott of Castle Thorpe aforesaid Butcher whom I make the full and sole Executrix of this my last Will an Testament Charging her in all things to see the same truly performed as shee will answer therefore before Almighty God and I nominate and appoint my loveing friends the said Richard Parrott and John Mansell the elder of Stony Stratford in the said County of Bucks gent to bee Overseers of the same requireing their best assistance to my said Executrix in the execucon of this trust and for their paines therein to bee taken I give unto each of them the summe of five shillings And soe revokeing all other and former Wills by me heretofore made either by word of mouth or in Writing I publish and declare this to bee myne onely last Will and Testament In Wittnes whereof I have hereto putt mine hand and seale the nynth day of December Anno Domini One thousand six hundred Seaventy fower and in the Six and twentyeth yeare of the Reigne of our most gracious Soveraiyne Lord Charles the Second the marke of Thomas ffoulkes Signed Sealed published and declared in the presence of John Paborne Richard Veasey John ffulford Proved 1st March 1676 |
