In the Name of God Amen I John Glover Sen. of Tothall End in the parish of Hanslop in the County of Bucks being in perfect mind and memory but calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye, do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say) ffirst and principally I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the meritts of my Saviour Jesus Christ, and my body I commend to the Earth from whence it was taken to be buried in decent manner by my Executors hereinafter named, and as for my Estate wherewith God hath endued me withal I give as followeth, ffirst I give and devise unto my well beloved Kinsman William Glover Jun. of Tothall End All that my house and land lying and situate in Hanslop aforesaid only he paying out of the premises unto the Children of John Woodley of Tothall End aforesaid the summe of three pounds good and Lawfull money of England, Namely to Ann Woodley twenty Shillings, to Elizabeth Woodley twenty Shillings, to John? Woodley the summe of twenty Shillings He also paying unto Edward Glover the Summe of twenty Shillings of like Current money, also to pay unto Elizabeth Glover the Summe of twenty Shillings, to Susanna Glover the Summe of twenty Shillings, he also to provide John the Son of William Glover of Tothall End aforesaid one Shirt and one pair of Shoes yearly dureing life all those legacies to be paid within one yeare next after my decease Item I give and devise unto John Woodley and his heirs of Tothall End aforesaid all my household goods whatsoever except one joyned bed in the parlour which my mind is that William Glover aforesaid shall have and he the said William Glover shall enter on the fallow That is next after my decease, and further my will is that John Woodley aforesaid shall stay one yeare after my decease in my said house to gett of his said goods and provide for himself, and if any of the said persons shall happen to dye before their Legacies shall become due that then my will is that the Survivors shall have it equally divided between them; and further my will is that if any money shall happen to be left after my decease John Woodley or his heirs shall have it my debts being paid and funerall Expences defrayed I make and ordain William Glover and John Woodley aforesaid Sole and joynt Executors of this my last will and Testament ratifying and Confirming this and none other to be my last will and Testament this Sixth day of June in the Seaventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King William of England Anno Dom 1695 The marke of John Glover Signed Sealed published pronounced and declared by the Said John Glover as his last will and Testament in the presence of the mark of Mary Jenings The mark of George Jenings Math. Waters Proved the 10th day of October 1699 |
