In the name of god Amen the iiii day of October 1617 I Ralpe Willson of Sawcy fforest of p[er]fect memorie thanks be to god doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme following ffirst I commend my soule to Allmightie god trusting to be saved by the death and passion of Jesus Christe my onlie saviour and redeemer And my bodie to be buried in the churchyard of Hanslop  I give and bequeath unto Edward Willson my brothers sonne one black sheepe .... I give unto fower menn to carry me unto the churche 4 shillings I give unto my brother Thomas Willson vi s. viii d The rest of my goods and Chattles unbequeathed my debts beeing payd and my funerall discharged  I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Willson whome I make my full Executrix of this my last will and testament and I make Christopher Wincles and Edward Mitchell my overseers and for ther paynes I give them xid a mann  I give to my mayd Joane Perry one sheepe  Wittnes Henrie Hall Jasper Gadesden and Edmund Michell
