In dei no[min]e Ame[n] in the yere of o[u]r Lorde god 1540 & the seconde
daie of october I will[ia]m hougto[n] seke in body but hole in mynde make
my testame[n]t and last will after this man[ner] fyrst I bequeth my soule
to allmyghty god w[hi]ch hathe redemed me & putteth me holly untill his
m[er]sy to ordre my soule after his will and plesure & not after my deserts
Also my body to be buried in the Churchyard of hanslapp In primis I
bequeth to the mother church of lincoll[n] ijd It[e]m I bequeth to the hie
alter for tythes forgoten iiijd It[e]m I bequeth to John my sone & Thomas
to have and occupy halffe my croppe w[ith] my wife w[ith] termes and all
man[ner] of thing[s] that [be]longs to husbandry I bequeth t[o] Ezabell my
Daughter a calffe It[e]m I bequeth to p[ar]nell a calff It[e]m I bequeth
to george a calffe It[e]m I bequeth to John my son a pot and Thomas
