In the name of god Amen:  I ThomasTravell of Hanslopp in the countie of Bucks;  yeoman sicke in bodie, but of sounde and perfecte memory thankes be to god for the same, doe make my laste will and testament in manner and forme followinge;  First I bequeath my soule, to allmightie god, hopinge by the onely merittes, of my blessed lorde and saviour Jesus Christe, to be saved without any merit or defect of my owne, and my bodie to be buried in christian buriall at the discretion of my executors;  Item I give to the poore of Hanslopp fortie pence to be bestowed at the discretion of Margery my lovinge wife, all my howseholde stuffe bedding, linnen, woollen, brasse pewter, beafe, horses sheepe, cattell and allso all and singular my goodes and chattells whatsoever, as well reall as personall, moveable as unmoveable, and my will and meaninge is, that the saide Margery my wife shall thearewith or with some parte theareof well and sufficiently provide for and allowe unto Henry my sonne, meate drinke apparell, lodgeinge and all other necessaries for and duringe his naturall life, and shall within one moneth after my decease put in bonde unto my saide sonne, herselfe with one or more sufficient suerties, for the true and iustly performance theareof;  and I doe make the saide Margery my wife, my sole executrix of this my laste will and testament;  and I doe heare by requeste my lovinge ffreindes John Birde of Haversham in the countie of Bucks;  Clarke and Richard Nappier als Sandie of Greate Linford in the said countie of Bucks:  Clarke to be overeers of this my laste will and testament, and doe bequeath each of them for theire paines, x s a peece;  and I doe heareby revoake, and make voide all forme wills and testamentes whatsoever;  In witnes wheareof I have heareunto set my hande and seale, this xviij th day of Aprill in the yeare of the raignes of our soveraigne lorde James, by the grace of god of Englande ffrance and Irelande kinge defender of the faith etc the 16th and of Scotland the 51 th  Witnes Theoder Birde Willyam Baswell Alice Peake and John Thorpe
