In the name of god Ame[n] the xth day of december in
the yeare of o[ur] lord god 1558 I willm Coxe of hanslope w[i]t[h]in
the Countie of Bu[c]ks doth make this my laste wylle &
testame[n]te in man[ner] and forme followinge that is to saye
firste I beq[uea]th my soole to almiyghtie god and to mary The
Virgin and to all the blessed Companye of heavyn and
my bodye to buryed in the Churche yarde of Saynte James
in hanslope It[e]m I gyve to ye mother Churche of Lyncoln
*s – ijd It[e]m I gyve and beq[uea]th to Johan[e] my wyffe my house & my
lease with all things thereunto belonginge durynge her
naturalle lyffe and after she decesse the[n] my wylle is that
Jhon my Sonne shall have yt It[e]m I beq[uea]th to thomas my
Sonne j bullocke of one yere olde and to my iij daughters one
bullocke of one yere olde & to Jhon my sonne an Oxe
The[n] all the resydewe of my goods unbeq[uea]thed my debts payde
I gyve and beq[uea]th to Johane my wyffe the wiche Johan[e] my
wyffe I make my hole Executryxe of this my laste wylle
