In the name of god Amen The vii th daie of June in the yeare of our Lord God 1620  I Joane Carter of Hanslapp in the Countie of Bucks widdow findinge myself sicke in body yet thanks be to god of good memory I doe make and ordayne this my last Will and testament of all my goods and money which it hathe pleased god to bestowe upon me in this lief in manner and forme herein expressed   ffirst my desire and will ys that after my gracious god hath called me out of this world my bodie to be buried in the Church yard of Hanslapp aforesaid   Item I make Lawrence fforster gent and Marke Travell yeoman overseers of this my last will and testament and gyve them full power and authority to take and receyve after my deceasse all such money and goods anywaie did belonge and given unto me in my lief tyme  And all such money and other goods as shall remayne in goods  ... after the charges of my funnerall paide   I gyve and bequeath unto the poore people of Hanslapp aforesaid to be ymployed for theire benefitt and relief in this manner (That is to say) That within one moneth after my said overseers shalbe possessed of the said money and goods to deliver the same unto the church Wardens and overseers for the pore of Hanslapp for the tyme beinge  And they to ymploy the stock to remayne to the best of the behoof of the poore aforesaid but soe as the said stock may remayne whole and undemynished att the end of theire tyme  And after upon theire accompth made to the Justice of  ....    the said stock shalbe delivered over unto the next church Wardens and overseers appointed for ye poore of Hanslapp aforesaid and they likewise to ymploy the same so as ye may remayne whole   And soe successively for ever the said stock shalbe delivered unto the church wardens and overseers for the poore of Hanslapp aforesaid yearly to ye best use and behoofe and relief of them the poore before menconed  And to be ymployed as in the discrecon of the Church wardens and overseers shall soone as is  best and most convenient Always provided that the stock shall not be demynished
