To all Chrisian people to whom this present writing shall cum greeting Know ye that whereas John Brice late of Hanslopp Labourer in the County of Bucks in his life did in verbale words give and bequeath all his worldly goods in manner and forme as to hereafter mentoned That is to say on the twentie second day of march in the yeare of our Lord God on thousan Sixe hundred Seventy and Sixe he being then not well of Body but of perfect memory and understanding thanks be to God for he did undoutedly in the presence of all mighty God and in the hearing of these persons hearafter named and whose names are to this present writing subscribed: Expres and declare his mind and will in manner following his only Sonne John Brice being present and Elizabeth Brice his wife he spake these words and said to his said Sonne I would have you cum and live with your mother and to be kind to her and for that Goods that th.. is part it betwine you and soe he ended his speech as to his will The words weare spoake in the presence of Richard Ellis and Samuell Clifton Proved 7th day of june 1676 |
