In the name of God Amen  vicisimo secundo die Decembrie Anno Domini  millesino quingente Primo  octaogo nono  Anno Regni   Elizabethe retrice Primo secondo  I John Bynckes alias Banckes of Hanslop in the countie of Buckingham Yeoman beinge of good and perfect memory (I prayse the lord for yt) yet sicke and disseased in bodie do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme folowinge  ffirst I committ my soule humblie to the blessed and glorious trinitie the father the sonne and the holy ghoste whoe hath created redeemed an sanctified me and all his elected franchise belevinge and steadfastly hopinge throughe the meritts of my Savioures passion only to be one of the ioyfull resurrection to life everlastinge  Item I will that my bodye to be buryed in the churche of Richmon dale west Shene in the countie of Surrey   Item I give and bequeathe to Christopher Bankes my father the Lease whych I houlde and have of the Messuage or Tenement from her Maiestie situat and beynge in Hansloppe aforesaid    To have and to houled the said Lease and the Landes with thappurtenances therby devised and grannted during all the tearme of years yet to come and unexpired  mencyoned and contayned within the said Lease (yf my father happen so longe to lyve and my father to discharge my funeralle and to paie my debts and legacyes as hereafter is mencyoned and declared  And yf it happen my said ffather do departe out of this life before the expiracon of the tearme of yeres expressed in the said Lease  Then I will and bequeathe the benefitt of the said Lease from thencefourthe to be equally devyded amongste my Brothers and Sisters in ratable and proportionable     Item I will that my fellowe George Kettlepennye shall have the custody and keepinge of my said Lease for my fathers use and behoofe untill my father have paid and discharged the summe of tenne pounds of lawfull money of England which give unto the said Kettlepenny as by my obligacon appearethe.  Item I give to my said father my best Dublet and hose my ..  gowne  blewe Coate and cloake  Item  give and bequeath to my Sisters sonne Henry Whiteheade all the rest of my apparrel and three pounds in money except one olde Dublett one paire of olde hose my olde shoes one paire of olde stockings with my olde frieze coate which I give and bequeath to oulde Nicholas Smythe   Item  I give to Elizabeth Hilton my keeper twentie  shillinges   Item I give to the poore of the parish of Richmond aforesaid tenne shillings to be distributed at my funerall   All the rest of my goods and Chattells moveable and unmoveable I give and bequeath unto my said father Christopher Bankes whome I make constitute and ordayne my sole executor to see this my last will and testament duly executed and performed as appearethe  accordinge to the true intente and meaning hereof   In witnesse whereof I have hereunto set my hande and seale the day and yeare first above and within written  There remayned in my cheste when I fellisiated the key whereof I delyvered to my fellow Kettlepennye the summe of fower pounds  xii d  Item the said Kettlepennye oweth me twentie shillings   Item more out of my pockett eleven shillings sixe pence   Item my Quarter wage due at  this Christmas thertene shillinges and fower pence   Signed       Johannis Banks  Sealed and delyvered as his laste will and testament  in the presence of John Byer  George Kettlepennys marke
