In the name of god I John Coxe of hamslapp in the Countie of
Buck[s] husbandman being sicke in my bodie but whole in mynd
thanks be to Almyhtie god Doe make this my last will
and testament in mann[er] and forme following ffirst I doe
bequeath my soule to Almyhtie god my only saviour and
Redemer and my body to be buried in the church yard
of hamslapp ffurthermore All my goods and chattells
I geve and bequeath to Ellizabeth Coxe now mye
wyfe to paye my Debts and see my funeralls dischardged
And I doe make her my sole executrix of this my
laste will and testamente wittnesses hereof are
Nicolas Marschole Lettus Carpen[ter] and Harry
Cox his sonne the xxvth daie of december An[n]o
D[omi]ni 1587 in the thirtith yere of the raigne of our
Soveraigne Lady Elizlibeth by the grace of god
Quene of England ffraunce & Ireland defender
