In the name of god Amen:  The xij th of Maye Anno Din 1618: I John Gininges of Hanslopp in the countie of Bucks: mason, beinge sicke of bodie, but of good and perfecte memory thankes be given to god, doe make and ordaine this my laste will and testament in manner and forme followinge;  ffirste I give an bequeath my soule into the handes of Allmightie god, my maker my saviour and my redeemer; and my bodie to be buried in the churchyarde of Hansloppe aforesaide;  Item I give unto Elizabeth my wife all those my goodes and householde stuffe, whatsoever towardes the bringinge upp of my sonne Mathew, hopinge that she will be a carefull mother for him;  but if the saide Elizabeth doe marry againe before my sonne comes to the age of eighteene yeares, then my will is that my saide wife shall put in sureties to my overseers for the bringing upp of the saide childe, or els to impacte unto the saide Mathew, the third parte of all those my goodes as aforesaide:  Item I give unto John, Richard, Thomas, ffrancis and George Gininges my five sonnes to either of them vj d a peece;  Item I ordaine and appointe my saide wife Elizabeth to be my whole and sole executrix of this my laste will and testament payinge my debtes and funerall chardges;  moreover I intreate, ordaine and appointe Thomas Mablie and Richard Carter my overseers of this my laste will and testament reposinge that truste in them and giveinge and granntinge unto them full power and authoritie for to helpe my saide wife in the execution of my will;  and allso to see that my saide wife doe likewise fullfill the same, giveinge unto them vj d for theire paines  Witnesses  Thomas Church  Richard Carter  Thomas Mablie
