In the Name of God Amen the one and Twentieth day of September in the year of our Lord 1723 I John Mapley in Sassy Forest in the parish of Hanslopp in the County of Bucks being Sick and Weak of body but thanks be given to God of perfect mind and memory and Calling to mind the mortality of my body and that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament Principally and first of all I recomend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God nothing Doubting but through the meritorious death and passion of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to Receive free pardon and forgiveness for all my Sins and as for my body to the earth to be buried in a Christian buriall at the discretion of my Executors and as for my worldly goods as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give and bequeath in manner and form following Item I give and bequeath unto my Son John Mapley my Messuage or Tenement with the premises in the parish of Hanslopp in the said County of Bucks and to his heirs Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandchild Mary Ashque one Shilling Item I give and bequeath unto  Eliz  Ashque one Shilling  Item I give and bequeath unto William Ashque one Shilling Item I give and bequeath unto my Son John Mapley and his Son John Mapley each of them one Shilling apiece Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Anne B....... the sum of five pounds Item I give and bequeath unto my Sister Mary Anderton and my daughter Elizabeth Aldridge whom I likewise Constitute  make and ordain my Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament all and Singular my goods and Chattells by them freely to be possessed and enjoyed they paying my debts and Legacies and funerall charges In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and Seal the day and Year first above written the mark of John Mapley Signed Sealed published  pronounced and declared by the said John Mapley as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us the mark of Anne Wright the mark of John Pearson Thomas Chapman
