In the Name of God Amen I John Smith of Hanslap in the County of Bucks Shoemaker being very sick and weak of  body but perfect minde and memory thanks be to God doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament this nineteenth day of January 1713 and calling to mind the mortallity of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye that is to say Principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soule into the hands of God that gave it and for my body I commend it to the earth to be buryed in a Christian like and decent manner at the discrecon of my Executor nothing doubting but at the generall resureccon I shall receive the same againe by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give desire and dispose of the same in the following manner and forme Imprimis my will is that my Close be sold in one year after my decease and my debts paid out of the money and the overpluss or what is still remaining after my debts be paid shall be equally divided between my three children (viz) Will Smith Elizabeth Smith Anne Smith and as for my household goods ready money and debts owing to me I desire as they should be likewise equally divided between my said Son Will Smith my two daughters Elizabeth Smith and Anne Smith and as for my carts ploughs and hovells I desire they should be sold at a moderate rate and the money likewise equally divided between my said Son Will Smith and my two daughters Elizabeth Smith and Anne Smith and I doe likewise Constitute make and ordaine my Son Will Smith and my daughter Elizabeth Smith joynt Executors together to this my last will and testament and I doe hereby desire Richard How senior and Will Panter senior both of Hanslap to be overseers of this my last will and testament to see it in every thing fullfilled as it is herein expressed and I doe utterly disallow revoke and disanull all and every other former testaments wills legacies Bequests and Executors by me in any wise before this time named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale the day and year above written John Smith Signed Sealed published pronounced and declared by the said John Smith as his last will and testament in the presence of us the subscribers John Parrat Anne P...... marke Anne Panter
