In the name of god Amen: The xxv th of July in the yeare of our lorde god 1619: I William Wright of Hanslopp within the countie of Bucks: beinge sicke in my bodie, but of good and p[er]fecte remembrance, thankes be to allmightie god, doe make and ordaine this my laste will and testament in manner and forme followinge viz: First I bequeath my soule into the handes of allmightie god my maker, and to his sonne Jesus Christe my onely saviour and redeemer; and my bodie to christian buriall, expectinge a glorious resurrection; as concerninge my worldly goodes, I give them as followeth Item I give unto Mary my wife the one halfe of all my poultrye; and further my will is, that Mary my wife shall keepe fower hens duringe her naturall life, to be kept at the proper costes and chardges of Alice Wright my daughter, and she my wife to have the onely profitt, that shall or may arise by or out of them; likewise she my wife shall have the one halfe of the profitt, which shall or may come of one goose, duringe her saide life; Item I give grant and devise unto Alice Wright my daughter the howse whearin I dwell, with all and singular the landes, meadowes, pastures and feedinges nowe to the saide howse belonginge, or in any wise appertayninge, setlyinge or beinge within the printes of the manner of Hanslopp, to her and to her heires for ever; for and in consideracon, that she my saide daughter, shall keepe my saide wife, with sufficient meate drinke, lodgeing and cloathinge fitt for a woman of her sorte duringe her naturall life; all the rest of my goodes unbequeathed my debtes beinge paide, and my funerall discharged, I give and bequeath unto Alice Wright my saide daughter, whome I make my sole executor of this my laste will and testament, and I doe appointe Marke Travell, Willyam Cooke, and John Rawlins Junior to be overseers of this my laste will, as my hope is in them they will, and doe give them for theire paines iiij d apeece; In witnes wheareof I have sett unto my hande and seale, this present daie as aforesaide; these beinge witnesses by me required George Tomkins Hugh Brice
