In the name of God Amen the Sixteenth Day of March Anno Dom 1679  I Christopher Scriven of Hanslop in the County of Bucks yeoman being Sicke in body but of good and perfect Remembrance thanks be to Almighty God  Doe make and set downe this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following First I bequeath my Soul to Almighty God my maker trusting to be saved by my redeemer Jesus Christ and my body to be buried in the Parish Church of Hanslop aforesaid by my Executor hereafter mentioned

Item I give and bequeath unto my Wife Katherine Scriven the remainder of the Lease of the house wherein I now dwell to her, her heires and assignes with all and every the Appurtenances thereunto belonging, during the Terme of the said Lease

Item I give and bequeath unto my said Wife A certaine Close in Long Street called by the name of Golders Land Close containing by estimacon foure Acres more or less to her, her heires and assignes for ever

Item I give and bequeath unto my said wife all those severall acres of arable land and grasse ground with the commons and other appurtenances there unto belonging with a pightill close which was all purchased late of Will fforster Esq and of John Wilkinson gent to her, her heires and assignes for ever

Item I give and bequeath unto Robert Abraham of Stoke Goldington my kinsman the sume of three pounds of lawfull mony of England

Item I give and bequeath unto Jane the wife of Will Kilpin of Stoke Goldington aforesaid my kinswoman the sume of three pounds of like lawfull mony of England

Item I give and bequeath unto Anne the wife of John Pitman the sume of Two pounds

Item I give and bequeath unto Mary the wife of Hugh Spencer the sume of Two pounds

Which said Legacies to be paid by my Executor within one yeare after my decease And I doe make and ordaine my said wife my Sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament And to her doe I give and bequeath all the rest of my good and Chattells whatsoever not here menconed that is knowne to be or called mine to see my debts paid and my funerall discharges And I doe utterly renounce all former Wills and bequests whatsoever and doe declare this to be my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and yeare first above written Signed and sealed  Christopher Scriven in the presence of Rob Hills the marke of Richard A Butler John fforster
