In the Name of God Amen the Twenty fifth day of May one Thousand Six hundred Eighty Seaven according to the Account of the Church of England I William Garritt of Hanslopp in the County of Bucks yeoman being in perfect Memory and Rememberance praised be God for it I doe make and Ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and fforme ffollowing ffirst I Bequeath my Soule to God my Maker and Redeemer hopeing through the Meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer to have full and free pardon for all my Sins past present and to Come and as for my Body to the Earth to be Buryed in Christian Buriall at the discretion of my Executor hereafter nominated: Item I give and Bequeath to my Sonn William Garritt my Close called Dormars Close Item I give to my Daughter Mary Dun the wife of Edward Dun the Crop of a Land of Wheate in Embers Landfield namely the Second Land from the Balke Eastward and Alsoe a Loade of fire wood: Alsoe I give to Mary Dun the Daughter of Edward Dun the sume of Tenn pounds Alsoe I give to Edward Dun the Sonn of Edward Dun the sume Six pound Alsoe I give to William Dun the Sonn of Edward Dun the sume of Seaven pound: Alsoe I give to Mathew Dun the sume of Seaven pounds: And alsoe my will is that all theise Legacyes before mentioned to be putt forth and improveing for the Childrens use Soe soone as my conveniently and they to Receive their Legacyes at the Age of one and Twenty yeares And alsoe I give to my Sonn Edward Dun a ewe and lambs and Alsoe to his wife Mary Dun a ewe and Lambe:  And Alsoe I give to my Sister Israel Wolman five Shillings of money and one paire of Sheetes and one paire of Blancketts And alsoe to James Wollman my brother a Stuffe Coate And alsoe to James Wollman his Sonn the Sume of ffive Shillings Alsoe I give to my Grandchilde Mary Dun the biggest Chest in the Parlour and Alsoe a Box in the Hall Chamber Alsoe I give Mathew Dun the Daughter of Edward Dun the Oaken Chest under the Chamber Window Standing Alsoe I give to my Daughter Mary Dun my Warming pann and my Churne and Alsoe to my Grandaughter Mary Dun I give a greate kettle and a little kettle and to Mathew Dun one kettle and a Brass pott: Alsoe I give to my Grandaughter Mary Garritt the Joyned Bedd in the Parlour with the Curtaines and fflock Bedd and the ffeather Bedd belonging to it:  And to my Grandaughter Ann Garritt the biggest kettle and the ...... and to Elizabeth a Caldron pott and two kettles:  And moreover I give to my Grandchilde Mary Dun the best ......... And alsoe I give to my Daughter Mary Dun halfe my pewter as it is Already devided;  And alsoe moreover I give to my Grandaughter Mary Dun the Joyned Bedd in the Hall Chamber and all the furniture belonging to it And alsoe I give and beque Six paire of Sheetes and Two Coverlids to my Sonn William and my Daughter Mary to be devided Equally betweene them by ffrancis Rosson and Richard Ellis and alsoe the Linnen not nominated and my wifes weareing Cloathes and the milke vessell and the Rest of the Bedding And I doe nominate my loveing Sonn William Garritt to be my Sole and whole Executor and he to have all my goods undisposed and he to pay all my lawfull debts and ffunerall Charges:  And I doe Nominate and appoint my loveing Neighbours Richard Ellis and ffrancis Rosson to be the Overseers of this my last Will and Testament  In Witness whereof I sett to my hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written: The marke of William Garritt Sealed and delivered in the presence of Richard Ellis ffrancis Rossons marke John Lee
