In the Name of God Amen the thirteenth day of May in the yeare of our ord God according to the Computation of the Church of England One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty and Seaven I Hugh Baldwin of Hanslopp in the County of Bucks yeoman being of perfect Memory and Remembrance praised be God for it doe make and Ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and fforme ffollowing ffirst I bequeath my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God my maker hopeing that through the Meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer to Receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins past present and to come:  and my Body to buryed in Christian Buryall att the discretion of my Executrix hereafter nomminated Imprimis I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Baldwin the Sum of fforty pounds to be paid her at the Age of one and Twenty yeares Item I give to my Daughter Mary Baldwin the Sum of fforty pounds to be paid to her at the Age of and Twenty yeares Item I give to my Daughter ffrances Baldwin the Sum of fforty pounds to be paid her at the Age of on and Twenty yeares And my will is that if it shall please God that if any of my three daughters dye before they be at Age to Receive their portion then her portion is to be devided betweene the other that is to say they are to be on anothers heire  And for the true and faithfull performance of theise Legacyes I doe by this my will and Testament Nomminate and apointe these lands and grounds hereafter mentioned for to pay and to help to bring them up that is to say my Close in Woodend Lane Commonly called Grogers Close and their portions alsoe another Close up towards a lane called Roas Lane and known by the name of Roase Close and alsoe an Acre of Meadow in a meadow called Ashmead all three lyeing and being in Hanslopp aforesaid if need requires that the Executrix can make noe other payment And I doe give to my Son Hugh Baldwin the Slade in Enper Land and a Sidle in Seaven Acres Estate after his mothers Decease And I doe nomminate and appoint my three Daughters Elizabeth Mary and ffrances such parte of my household Goods as shall be nomminated that is to say to my Daughter Elizabeth on Joyned Bedd with sum Beding to it namely that in the Hall Chamber and three platters with the letters E and B And to my Daughter Mary I doe give the Bedd in the Parlor Chamber with the hangings and some Bedding and alsoe to platters with letters in M and B and to my Daughter ffrances I doe give the Bedd in the Parlor and the hangings and some Bedding and alsoe to platters whereof on hath the letter H and B and another with S and b:b and alsoe a pewter tankard with the letters F and B and to my Daughter Elizabeth a Silver thimble and Mary a Silver spoone And all theise goods to be had at the Decease of their mother or before if she please And to my Son Hugh Baldwin the Table in the Hall the great Copper in the Hall and the Screene and the salting trough And I doe nomminate and appoint  my loveing Wife Mary Baldwin to be my Sole Executrix and she to have the disposeing of all my Goods and Chattells which is not allready disposed of and She to pay all my lawfull debts and to discharge my ffunerall charges I doe desire and appoint my loveing Uncle Richard Swaine and my loveing Brother John Smith alias Caves to be the Overseers of this my Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have sett my hand and Seale the day and yeare first above written the marke and Seale of Hugh Baldwin sealed signed in the presence of us Will Saxby Richard Ellis John  Lee
