Memorandum that the Six and Twentyeth day of March in the Thirteenth yeare of the Reign of our Sovereigne Lord William the Third King over England And in the yeare of our Lord God one Thousand Seven hundred and one I Christopher Ellis of Hanslopp in the County of Bucks yeoman being of sound mind and memory do make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) I give and bequeath unto my Brother Richard Ellis one Guinea And alsoe I give and bequeath unto my Brother Thomas Ellis my Grey Gelding my Silver Tobacco Box the Clock the Bedd and Bedding in the parlour The Chest in the parlour the Trunke in the hall Chamber And moreover I do give and bequeath uinto my said Brother Thomas Ellis all my dead stocke Materialls and Implements which are without dores or wheresover they be belonging to husbandry except the graine threshed and unthreshed nevertheless my mind and will is that my Executor and Executrixes hereafter named shall sell the said Dead Stock and the money ariseing upon the sale thereof shall be paid to the said Thomas Ellis at his age of one and Twenty yeares And ffarther I give bequeath unto my two Sisters Sarah and Mary Ellis all my household goods in the house herein before bequeathed equally to be devided between them Share and Share alike My mind and will ffarther is that the graine already sowne or to be sowed of wheate Barley beanes and pease or of what nature or kindsoever it bee I do hereby give and bequeath unto my brother Thomas Ellis and my two Sisters Sarah and Mary Ellis bee equally deivided between them All my horses Geldings Colts Cowes Bullocks Sheepe and Lambs and all other the remainder of my personall Estate of what Nature quality or kind soever with the graine herein before nott bequeathed after my debts and ffuneral expenses are paid and discharged I give and bequeath unto my brother Thomas Ellis and my Sisters Sarah and Mary Ellis equally to be devided between them Share and Share alike And moreover my mind and will is that my Brother Thomas Ellis shall hold and peaceably enjoy the ffarme house arable land and Sward ground with the appurtenances belonging to the same now in my possession with the rents and proffitts thereof for and untill hee shall attaine the age of one and Twenty yeares paying the yearly rent of Thirty pounds for the same unto his Brother Richard Ellis aforesaid And also I do give unto William ffoskett William Sheppard Edward Creake and John ffoster Gentleman  ffifty shillings appeece whoo I doe constitute and appointe Jointly with my two Sisters Sarah and Mary Ellis Executors and Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament hereby revokeing all former Wills and Testaments by mee heretofore made and declared In Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seale the day and year first above written Chr. Ellis signed sealed published and declared by the said Christopher Ellis for and as his Last will and Testament in the presence of us the marke of Christopher Saxby Richard Ellis Thos Creake Proved 17th October 1701
