In the name of God Amen the xix th day of Aprill in the 42nd yeare of our Soveraign Elizabeth Queens Raygne, I Richard Read of Hanslopp in the county of Bucks Laboror being sicke in bodye but in good and p[er]fect Remembrance doe make this my last will and Testament in manor and forme followinge,  First I bequeath my soule into the hands of god to abide with him in his Kingdome forever,  And my bodye to be buryed in the churchyard of Hanslopp aforesaid neare unto my mother,  Item I geve and unto the mother churche of Lincolne ii d.  Item I geve and bequeath unto Joane Reade my wife all my goods and cattels movable and immovable which I hold and am possessed of in Hanslop aforesayd to have hold, occupie and enioye them and every of them to her best behoofe duringe the tearme of her naturall lyfe and at her death to dispose of the sayd goods to my children according as she shall thinke good which Joane my wife I doe make and appoynt my whole and full Executor to this my last Will and Testament and in witnes hereof I have putte my hand this xix th of Aprill Anno dm 1599  in witnes of us James Redman   Thomas C ...  Henry Ashbye  Thomas Cooke
