In the name of god Amen: the 22nd daie of February in the yeare of our lorde god 1617:  this is the laste will and testament nuncupative of Richard Sargeant, late of Hanslopp in the countie of Buckes deceased, the 22nd day of February as followeth;  Firste he did comend his soule into the handes of allmightie God, and his bodie to be buried in the churcheyarde of Hanslopp;  Item he gave unto Jane Sargeant his wife, all his moveable goodes, cattell and chattells whatsoever, to paie his debtes, and to performe his funerall chardges;  and allsoe he gave unto the saide Jane his wife his tenement whearein he dwelt with the appurtenances theareunto belonginge, which tenement the saide Richard Sargeant, had given her before in marriage, by ioynt purchase with him and to Elizabeth Groome, his wives daughter and to her heires forever;  provided allwayes, that the saide Elizabeth Groome should imparte and deliver unto Jane Sargeant her mother his wife, so much of her stocke as will helpe to dischardge, the debtes of the saide Richard Sargeant her father in lawe; moreover, the saide Richard Sargeant  did make and appointe, the saide Jane his wife to be the sole and whole executrix of this his laste will and testament;  Witnes heareunto Richard Carter Willyam Osborne Henry Smith  Katherine Smith
