I William Glainster of Hanslopp in the County of Bucks Tailor being sicke in body but of good and perfect remembrance thankes be given to Almighty God for the same doe make and ordaine my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge ffirst I give will and bequeath my soule unto Almighty God who creatred it to Jesus Christ who redeemed it and to the Holy Ghost who sanctifyed it and preserved mee three persons and but one god God whome I doe adores and will acknowledge forever And my body to the earth from whence it came to bee buried at the discretion of my Executrix heereafter named Item I give will and bequeath unto Bridgett my well beloved wife all that my one acre and a halfe of arrable land with the rights and appurtenances thereunto belonginge lying and being in Lady land field in the parish of Hanslop aforesaid which I purchased to mee and my heires forever of one Richard Troughton gent To have and to hold the same one acre and a halfe of arrable land with the rights and appurtenances unto the same belonginge until my said wife for and dureing her naturall life Item I give will and bequeath unto my sonne Richard and to his heires forever all that my said one acre and a halfe of arrable land with the rights and appurtenances unto the same belonginge To have and to hold the said one acre and a halfe of arrable land with the rights and appurtenances unto the same belonginge unto my said sonne Richard and his heires forever immediately after the decease of Bridgett my said well beloved wife Item I give will and bequeath unto my daughter Dorothy Cooke two shillinges Item I give will and bequeath unto my Daughter Judith ffive pounds to bee paid unto her within one yeare next after my decease Item I give will and bequeath unto my sonne in Law John Cooke all that part of my Cottage house or tenement together with the yard barne and appurtenances unto the same part belonginge situate and being in the Church End in the parish of Hanslopp aforesaid which said part my said sonne John hath in his possession To have and to hold the said part of the said Cottage together with the barne yard and appurtenances unto my said sonne John his executors and assignes for and dureing all the remainder residue and terme of yeares which I have in my lease of the same Item I doe give will and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Bridgett all the other part or parts of my Cottages or tenements situate and being in Church end aforesaid and are in the possession of Robert Brightwell Anne Cooper widow and Christopher Baccas together with the yards buildinges barnes and appurtenances unto the same belonginge And as are adioyneinge next to the part before bequeathed to my said sonne John To have and to hold the said part of the said Cottages and tenements and other the appurtenances unto the same parts belongeinge And all my rights tytle and Interest in the same unto my said wife Bridgett her executors and assignes for and dureing all the remainder residue and terme of yeares which I have in my lease of the same together with my Indenture of lease provided that my said sonne John quiettly enioy his part of the said Cottage or tenement before bequeathed to him Item I give and bequeath unto my said sonne Richard my grey Geldinge Item all the rest of my goodes and Catttell and Chattells leases and personall estate moveable and unmoveable heerein before undisposed of I doe give will and bequeath unto my said well beloved wife Bridgett whome I doe make sole executrix of this my last will and testament shee payeing debts and legacies and funerall expences and I doe make overseers of this my last will and testament my loveing kinsmen Hugh Wrenn and HeneryNewman both of Hansloppe yeoman to see the same performed And I doe heereby revoke all former and other wills by mee made or to bee made provided if there bee any ambiguity in this my will the same shall bee explained arbitrated and determined by my said overseers In wittnes whereof I have heereunto putt my hand and seale the ffive and twentieth day of ffebruary in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred and fforty and ffive by the said William Glainster Subscribed and published by the said William Glainster in the purchase of The marke of Matthew Horne The marke of Robert Brightwell and William Goldwell Proved the 25th January 1658 |
