In the name of God Amen I Katherine Allen the now wife of Samuell Allen of Weedon Beck in the County of Northampton Inn holder being in health of body and of a sound mind and memory (praised be God for the same) yett considering my owne mortality and the uncertainty of this life and desireing to leave Amity pease and good Accord amongst my relacons and friends touching my Estate which Almighty God hath blessed mee with all in this world Doe therefore (by and with the consent of my said Husband and in pursuance of and according to divers Settlements powers and authorityes unto me reserved and Secured upon the marriage agreement made with the said Samuell Allen) make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say) ffirst and principally I commend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my heavenly ffather by whom of his meer and onely grace I trust to be Saved and received into Eternal rest through the meritorious passion resurrection and assention of my ever blessed Saviour and redeemer Jesus Christ in whose most precious blood alone I put the whole and onely hope of my Salvation And my body I commit to the Earth to be decently Interred by my Executor hereafter named And for my worldly Estate wherewith itt hath pleased God to bestow upon mee I dispose of the same as followeth Item I give and confirme unto my deare and loveing husband Samuell Allen all that messuage or Tenement with the appurtenances wherein I now dwell with the Maulting Barnes Stables and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate standing and being in Hanslopp aforesaid for and dureing soe many yeares of the terme of yeares as I have therein As the said Samuell Allen my said husband shall live And from and after his decease I give and devise all the rest residue and remainder of the Terme of yeares and all my Estate interest ......... and demand of and in the said Messuage or Tenement Maulting and premises with their appurtenances and every parte and parcell of the same unto Thomas Allen Sonn of my said husband Samuel Allen his Executors Administrators and Assignes Subject nevertheless unto the provisoe or Condicon herein after menconed Item I give and devise unto my said husband Samuell Allen all that Close of pasture or inclosed ground called or known by the name of Golders Land Close with the appurtenances lying and being in Longstreet within the parish of Hanslopp aforesaid contayneing by Estimacon ffour Acres (be the same more or less) And alsoe all those Several peeces and parcells of arable land and pasture ground contayneing by Estimacon nine acres (be the same more or less) dispersedly lying and being within the parish and ffeilds of Hanslopp aforesaid with the Comons and pightles Close with all the appurtenances unto the same belonging which were heretofore purchased of William ffoster Esq and John Wilkinson genteman To hold to him and his assignes for and dureing the Term of his naturall life and from and after his emandecease I give and devise the said Close of pasture arable land pasture ground Close or pightle Comons and premises with their appurtenances and every part and parcell of the same unto the said Thomas Allen his heires and assignes for ever provided always and upon this condicon notwithstanding and my Mind and will is that the said Thomas Allen his heires Executors or Administrators doe and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid out of the Messuage Lands premises hereby to him devised the sume of one hundred pounds of lawyful money of England unto his brother Samuell Allen Citizen and Jeweller of London his Executors Administrators or Assignes within Six months after the decease of my said husband Samuell Allen And ffurther my mind and will is that in case the said Thomas Allen his heires Executors or Administrators shall neglect or refuse to pay unto the said Samuell Allen his Executors or Administrators the said sume of one hundred pounds according to the direction of this my will That then and in such case the Legacies herein by mee bequeathed unto the said Thomas Allen shall bee void And that then and in such case after such default of payment made I give and devise the said Messuage Close of pasture arrable land pasture ground pightle Close Comons and premises with their Appurtenances unto the said Samuell Allen his heires Executors Administrators and assignes Item I give and bequeath unto the said Thomas Allen the Sume of Twenty pounds to be paid him by my Executor hereafter named within six months after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto his Brother the said Samuell Allen the like sume of Twenty pounds to be paid him by my Executor hereinafter named within Six months after my decease Item I give and devise unto Mr John Mills Senior liveing in Essex Tenn pounds to be paid within Six months after my decease Item I give unto my Sister Mrs ffrances Lee of Essex widdow the sume of Tenn pounds to be paid within Six months after my decease Item I give unto John Allen  one other of the said Samuell Allen my said husband the sume of Tenn pounds to be paid in like manner Item I give and devise unto my Kinsman Robert Scriven of Hanslopp ffive pounds to be paid in like manner Item I give and devise unto Mary Jennings one of the daughters of George Jennings the sume of ffive pounds to be paid in like ,manner Item I give and bequeath unto my Kinswoman Ann Mares the Sume of Tenn pounds to be paid in like manner And I do hereby Constitute and appoint my said husband Samuell Allen Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament desireing him justly to perfome the same according to the true intent and meaneing hereof And I doe hereby Revoke all former Wills and Codicills by mee any ways heretofore made or declared In Witness whereof I have hereunto putt my hand and seale this Eighteenth day of September in the ffirst yeare of the raigne of our Sovereigne Lady Queen Anne over England etc Anno Dom 1702 the marke of the said Katherine Allen Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Katherine Allen for and as her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who subscribed our names thereunto
