In the Name of God Amen I Samuell Clifton of Rose Lane in the parish of Hanslopp in the County of Bucks Weaver Being weake and Sicke in body but of perfect mind and memory (thanks be given to God therefore) and knowing it is appointed for all men once to dye doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say) first and principally I commend my Soule into the hands of God who gave it mee nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall through the meritts of my blessed Saviour and redeemer receive the same againe and my body I commend to the Earth to be buryed in decent manner as to my Executor shall thinke meet and Convenient and as touching such worldly Estate as the Lord in mercy hath Lent me beyond my defects I give and bequeath as followeth Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonn Daniell Clifton the sume of ffoure pounds Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonn ffrancis Clifton the sume of ffoure pounds Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Abigaill Kightly the sume of ffoure shillings Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Samuell Clifton the sume of Twenty Shillings and I give and bequeath unto my Two Grandaughters Mary and Elizabeth Clifton the sume of Ten Shillings apiece which said Legacyes to my Grandchildren to be paid unto them when they shall severally attaine the age of one and Twenty yeares and if any of them shall happen to dye before their Legacyes shall become due then my Will is that the survivor of them shall have his or her part so dyeing Lastly I give and bequeath unto my Two Grandchildren John and Abigaill Clifton Son and daughter of John Clifton Two sheep at the discretion of my Executor and the said sume of Twelve pounds above mentioned to be paid within one yeare next after my decease and of this my last Will and Testament I make and ordaine my well beloved Sonn William Clifton full and whole Executor and I doe hereby utterly disallow revoke and annull all other Will or Wills by me formerly made ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto  set my hand and seale this foure and Twentyeth day of December in the Twelfth yeare of the reigne of our Sovereign Lord William the Third  of England et. Anno Dom 1700 Sam Clifton Signed Sealed published and pronounced to be my last Will and Testament in the presence Signum William Smith Signum Richard Quay Math Waters
