In the Name of God Amen I Simon Jones of Hanslap in the County of Bucks Husbandman being indisposed in bodily Health but of Sound and disposeing Mind and Memory praised be God for the Same and Sensible of my Mortality do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in Manner and forme following  First I give and devise unto my Eldest Son William Jones the sum of five pounds   Item I give and devise unto my daughter Mary now wife of William Gadesdon of Stoke Goldington the Sum of ten pound   Item I give and devise unto my daughter Elizabeth Jones the Sum of ten pounds   Item I give and devise unto my loveing wife Elizabeth Jones and to my Son Henry Jones all and Singular my Stock and Cropps and all other my personall Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and to ye Survivor of them Upon condition that they maintain in a Decent and Christian Like manner my son John Jones (who is both deaf and dumb) during his naturall life   And in case my said wife and son Henry shall fail in the maintainance of my said son John as aforesaid then my will and mind is that they shall pay or cause to be paid to him my said son John ye Sume of thirty pounds   Item I give and devise unto my Grandson Thomas Jones ye Son of my son William Jones ye Sume of ffive pounds to be paid him att ye age of Sixteen years by my Executors hereafter named   Item my will and mind is that none of my abovementioned Legacies shall become due and payable by Executors hereafter named until eighteen monthes after my decease and then without Interest   Item my will further is that in case my said son John shall happen to survive my said wife and Son Henry then but not otherwise I do direct him to have ye said Sume of thirty pounds to be paid out of my personall estate I shall leave behind me att the time of my decease   And lastly I do Constitute and appoint my Said wife and Son Henry Sole and Joynt Executors of this my last will and testament   And I do hereby revoke and make void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made and Executed ye mark of Symon Jones Signed Sealed published and declared by ye said Testator to be his last will and Testament in the presence of us who have also Subscribed our names as Witnesses hereto this twenty seventh day of  March in the year of our Lord 1731  Shadrack Garmston  ye mark of James Conning by Baldwin Wake of Hanslope
