Date of will 14 February 1749, the year being according to the old style calendar in which the year ended on 25 March, Lady Day.  Thus this year corresponds to 1750 by the modern calendar.

Summary of will The will leaves his estate to his wife for her lifetime after various legacies to relations. The house in which he lived was left to the three children of William Gudridge after the death of his wife.

A copy of this will is also included in a package of documents concerning Hales Folly, provided by a Welsh solicitor from the papers of Elizabeth Wood, ne Webb.  There is a similar will dated 21 May 1743 also contained in this package (reference D208/2/1/2).
