In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Cook of ye Parish of Hanslap in the County of Bucks Grassier being of perfect Mind and Memory thanks be to God and Calling to Mind the Mortallity of my Body and Knowing it is appointed for all Men once to Die Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament (that is to say) Principally and first of all I give and Recomend my Soul into ye Hands of Allmighty God that gave it me and for my Body I  Recomend to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian like and Decent Manner at the Discretion of my Executor and as touching such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me in this life I give devise and Dispose of ye same in ye following manner and form Item I give and Bequeath unto my Son Thomas Twenty Pounds in Money one Moiety of Half part to be paid Twelve Months after my Decease and the other Ten pounds to be paid two years after my Decease and I also give unto him One Bed and Bedding with proportionall furniture for ye said Bed and also one Pewter Dish Item I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Eleanor Twenty pound Ten pounds thereof to be paid Twelve Month after my Decease and the other Ten pound to be paid Two years after my Decease and I also give unto her one Bed with proportionall furniture for ye said Bed and two Pewter Dishes Item I give and Bequeath unto my Son John all my goods and Chattels whatsoever He Allowing my loveing wife and his Mother sufficient Maintenance both of Meat and Drink and Apparrell that is Nessessary Dureing her Naturall life but in Case it should so happen that they should not agree to live together then my mind and will is that the said Son John shall pay or Cause to be paid unto his Mother and my wife the Yearly Sum of Six pound and every year dureing her Naturall life without any fraud or Delay paying ye said Six pound at four Equall portions or payments in ye Year ....  is  Quarterly and I do Constitute and Appoint my said Son John Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament he paying my Legacies and Debts and funerall Charges and I do hereby Utterly Revoke and Disannull all former Wills made by me  In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal this third day of May Anno Dom  1728  The Mark of Thomas Cook Signed Sealed and Declared this to be my Last Will and Testament in ye presence of John Coall the Mark of Joanna Earle  Thomas Chapman
