In the name of God, Amen: The ffive & Twentieth Daye of Aprill In ye yeare of
our Lord God, One thousand sixe hundreth and thirteene I Thomas Coxe of Hanslape
in the Countie of Buck[s] Weiver being sicke in Bodie : but of good & perfecte remembrance
(thancks be to God for ye same) Doe ordaine & make this my last will & Testament in mann[er]
& fourme following ffirste I bequeathe my soule into the mercifull protection of Almightie
God, ye ffather, Sonne, & Holy Ghoste, in full asseurannce of ye free pardon of all my sinnes,
& of everlasting liffe in glorie, in & by ye pretious Deathe & obedience of my onlie & alone
Lord & Saviour Christe Jesus : My Bodie I com[m]end unto ye earth there to be buried, &
remaine in hope untill ye Resurrection of ye Juste. Item I geve & bequeathe unto Ellen my
welbeloved wife, One Bed ffurnished.                   Item I geve unto my said wife ye use, &
Benefitte of halfe the house & ground, w[hi]ch I hold by lease fro[m] the Towne Bayliffe for
ye time being of y mannor of Hanslape aforesaid, for & during her liffe (yf ye lease afore-
said so long laste). All ye rest of my Goods & Chattells of what sorte soever unbequeathed,
(my Debts & funeralls first satisfied, & paid) I geve unto Griffyne Coxe my naturall
Sonne, whome I make ye sole & whole executor of this my laste will & testam[en]te, And I ordaine
& appointe Robert Hocknell gent, & Anthony Batteson yeoman ye overseers of this my said laste
will & testament to see ye same trulie performed. In witnes whereof I have to this my said
last will & testam[en]t sett my hand, ye Daie & yeare above said, in p[rese]nce of thos[e] whos[e] names are
