In the Name of God Amen I Richard Ellis of Handslop in the County of Bucks Gent being of perfect Mind and Memory praised be God therefore Doe make and ordayne this my Last Will and Testament in Manner and forme following (that is to say) ffirst and principally I commend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator trusting assuredly to be Saved by and through the Merits of Jesus Christ my blessed Saviour and Redeemer and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Executor hereafter Named  Item I give and devise unto my Loveing brother Thomas Ellis all and Singular my Messuages Cottages Lands Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever and wheresosever with theire and every of theire appurtenances to hold to him and his heires forever but charged and Chargeable with his payment of the Legacyes here after mentioned Item I give and bequeath unto my Loveing Sister Mary Ellis one Guinea to be paid unto her within three months after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my brother in Law Thomas Creake and his wife one Guinea a piece to be paid unto them within three months after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my two Neeces Sarah and Mary Creake the Sume of fifty pounds a peice to be paid them at their severall ages of one and Twenty Years Item I give and bequeath to the poore people of the parish of Handslop that doe not receive collection of the said parish to be paid within two months after my decease and to be distributed by and at the discretion of the Minister of the said parish of Handslop and my Executor and the Overseers of the poore and Churchwardens of the said parish which shall be in Office at the time of my decease in such proportcons as they shall think fit All the rest of my goods Chattells and personall Estate whatsoever I give and bequeath  unto my said brother Thomas Ellis whom I make Constitute and appoint full and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I doe hereby revoke all former wills by me made In withness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seale this ninth day of April in the yeare of our Lord Jesus Christ one Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixteene Richard Ellis Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Richard Ellis the Testator for and as his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have also Set our hands as Witnesses in the presence of the said Testator the marke of Elizabeth Mortimer servant to Mr Ellis  Cha. Bulloy Thomas Dymoke.
