In the Name of God Amen I Robert Scriven of Hanslap in the County of Bucks Yeoman being weak in Body but of sound mind and Memory praised be God for the same Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in Manner and form following that is to Say First and principally I Recomend my Soul into the Hands of Allmighty God hopeing thro' the Meritorious Death and Passion of my only Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ to Receive free pardon of all my Sins And as to my Body I comitt it to the Earth to be Decently Buried at the Discretion of my Executors hereinafter named And as to the Worldly Estate which it hath  Pleased God to Bless me withall I Dispose thereof as follows Viz: Imprimis I give Devise and Bequeath unto my Neice Margarett Scriven Daughter of my Brother Henry Scriven All that Messuage or Tenement Situate Standing and Being in Hanslap aforesaid And also all and Singular my Land Tenement and Hereditaments in Hanslap aforesaid now in the Tenures or occupation of me the said Robert Scriven and Francis Warwick to Have and to Hold the said Messuages or Tenaments Lands and premises with their and every of their Appurtenances unto my said Neice Margarett Scriven and the Heirs of her Body Lawfully Begotten or to be Begotten And for want or in Default of such Issue then I give Devise and Bequeath the said Messuage or Tenement Lands and Premises unto my Nephew Francis Barton and his Heirs Males and for want of Such Issue Males then I give Devise and Bequeath the said Messuage or Tenement Lands and Premises unto my Nephew Andrew Barton and His Heirs Males and for want of such Issue Males then my Will and Meaning is and I Do hereby give Devise and Bequeath the said Messuage or Tenement  Lands and Premises unto my Neice Esther Odell and her Heirs for ever Item I give and Bequeath unto my Nephew Francis Barton the Sum of Sixty pounds to be paid him by my Executors within one Year next after my Decease Item I give and Bequeath unto Andrew Barton of London the sum of Sixty pounds to be paid him by my Executors within one Year next after my Decease Item I give and Bequeath unto my Kinswoman Esther Odell the sum of one Hundred pounds to be paid her by my Executors within one Year next after my Decease Item I give and Bequeath unto my Kinswoman Magarett England wife of John England of Milton in the County of Northampton the sum of Six pounds Yearly and every Year Dureing the Term of ner Naturall life and no Longer And my Will and Meaning is And I do hereby Charge the said Messuage Lands and Tenements with the payments thereof  Item I give and Bequeath unto my Kinswoman Catherine Gauthorne the Sum of Twenty pounds to be paid her by my Executors within one Year next after my Decease Item I give and Bequeath unto my Kinsman Joseph Gauthorne the Sum of Twenty pounds to be paid him as hereinafter is mentioned (that is to say Ten pounds to put him out apprentice and Ten pounds at the age of one and Twenty Years Item I give and Bequeath unto James Gauthorne my Nephew the Sum of Twenty pounds to be paid him by my Executors at the age of one and Twenty Years Item I give and Bequeath unto William Warwick of London (?) the sum of five pounds to be paid him by my Executors within one Year next after my Decease Item as to all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Estate I give and Bequeath unto my said Neice Maragett Scriven her Heirs and Assigns for ever (Except the Sum of Ten pounds apiece to the Reverend Mr Shadrack Garmstone and Mr Thomas Ellis whom I make Ordain Constitute and Appoint Trustees and Executors of this my Last Will and Testament And my Will and Meaning is that the said Mr Garmstone and Mr Ellis pay themselves the said Sum of Ten pounds apiece out of my Estate or Effects hereinbefore given and disposed of whom they shall think proper thus Revokeing all former Will and Wills by me heretofore made I Publish and Declare this to be my Last Will and Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal this fifteenth day of April in the Fourth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God King over Great Brittain Anno Dom 1731 Robert Scriven Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the Testator to be his Last Will and Testament containing two sheets of paper in the presence of and attested by us in the presence of the Testator John Smith his mark John Kinning Anthony Gibbes
