In the name of god Amen; I Thomas Hatley of Hanslopp in the countie of Bucks: beinge sicke in bodie, but of perfecte remembrance, thankes be given to allmightie god, doe make and ordaine this my laste will and testament, the fourth daie of October in the seaventeenth yeare of his majesties raigne of England ffrance and Irelande and of Scotland the three and fiftieth as followeth; ffirste I give and bequeath my soule into the handes of allmightie god, my maker, my saviour, and my redeemer; and my bodie to be buried in the churchyarde of Hanslopp aforesaide; Item I give unto my kinsman Lawrence Cowper, and to his brother to either of them vs a peece, to be paide within one twelfe moneth after my decease; Item I give to every one of my god chilldren whearesoever they are xiid a peece, to be paide within one twelfe moneth after my decease; Item I give unto Edward Parkins my godsonne my best ierkine and my best hatt, and my best breeches; Item I give unto Griffinn Bromsgrave my godsonne my second jerkine and breeches; Item I give unto Henry Windmill, my best dublett, and one paire of breeches; Item I give unto Francis Harmman, my godsonne, one paire of stockinges one paire of shoes, and a shirte band, and an ould hatt; all the rest of my goods and chattells whatsoever, I give and bequeath unto Anne my wife whome I make my whole and sole executrix of this my laste will and testament; moreover I doe make and ordaine, Henry Newman my kinsman and Thomas Lillingstone to be my overseers of this my last will and testament, giveinge unto either of them for theire paines twelfe pence; sealed and delivered in the presence of Henry Newman, Thomas Lillingstone and Thomas Church.
