In the Name of God Amen I ffrances fforty of Hanslopp in the County of Bucks widdow being Sicke and weake in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God therefore I do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament Knowing that it is appointed for all once to dye And first I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me hopeing to be saved by the meritts of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer and my body I comend to the Earth to be buryed in Christian buryall by my Executrix hereafter named and as touching such Worldly Estate as I have I bequeath and devise as followeth first I give and bequeath unto my Grandson John fforty the sum of Ten Shillings to buy him a ring and the Desk that was his Grandfathers Item I give and devise unto my Son Thomas Higgins the sume of Twenty Shillings to buy him a ring Item I give and devise unto my Grandson Thomas Higgins the sume of Twenty Shillings to buy him a ring I give and bequeath unto my Grand daughter ffrances Higgins the sume of ffifteen pounds it being in the hands of Mr Leonard Thomson of Stony Stratford and Ten pounds which her Grandfather left her in all Twenty five pounds Item I give and devise unto my daughter ffrances Higgins one roome of Goods furniture called the parlour Chamber wherein is a Chest of drawers table and stands a Large Looking Glass and fourteen pictures halfe a dozen of Cane Chairs a paire of Brass Andirons and Brass paire of fire tongs and shovell and brass fender and one paire of Bellowes one ffeather Bed one ffeather bolster and 2 ffeather pillowes two blankets and one white Quilt a sett of fflowered druggett curtains and one Bedstead which  goods I give unto my said Daughter ffrances Higgins dureing her naturall life and then unto her daughter ffrances Higgins and her heires forever but in case my said Grandaughter shall dye before shee is of age then I bequeath the said roome of Goode unto my Grandson Thomas Higgins and his heires forever Item I give and devise unto my daughter ffrances Higgins one Kettle the biggest except one and the lest of all Item I give and devise unto my Grandaughter ffrances Higgins all my Cattle and Crops if any when I dye and what wood is or shall be in the yard and all manner of household goods whatsoever except above mentioned and otherwise bequeathed my debts and Legacies being paid and funerall expences discharged I make and ordaine my said Grandaughter ffrances Higgins Sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said ffrances fforty have hereunto sett my hand and seale the Twelfth day of January in the Eleventh yeare of the Raigne of our Sovereign Lord William of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the ffaith Anno Dom 1699 The marke of ffrances fforty Signed Sealed published and declared with the interlining to be my last will and Testament in the presence of us whose names are subscribed and afterwards subscribed in her presence by us Thomas Plowman Signum Anne Calvatt Mathew Waters  Memorandum I doe desire my Kinsman Richard Parrat of Castle Thropp  yeoman and James Willason of Hanslopp aforesaid to be overseers of this my last will and Testament for which I give each of them paire of Gloves
