In the name of god Amen: in the yeare of our lorde god 1618: and the 26th daye of October I Mary James late wife of Thomas James of Hansloppe in the countie of Bucks: widowe, beinge sicke in bodie, but whole in minde, of good and perfecte remembrance, thankes be to god, doe ordaine and make this my laste will and testament in manner and forme followinge;  firste I give and bequeath my soule, to allmightie god trusting most assuredly in the mercye of Christ Jesus to enioye life eternall, and my bodie to be buried in Christian order;  Item I give to the poore of Hansloppe vj s viij d to be distributed by my executor:  Item I give to my god daughter Mary Travill my sisters daughter one cubberd, three platters one candlesticke, one pann twoe bowles, one kettle, my best cheste, twoe paire of sheetes, one brasse pott, one skimmer and x s in money;  Item I give to my Neece Annie Travill, one mattrice one  coverlett one blanckett, twoe paires of sheetes, one plaine cofer, twoe booles, one little brasse pott, one chafinge dishe and x s in money;  Item I give to the aforesaide Mary Travell and Annie Travell my pied cowe to be equally devided betweene them;  Item I give unto Annie Fisher my neece one candlesticke of brasse, one platter and one cofer;  Item I give to my sister  Ellenn, one beddsteede, one boulster, one mattrice, one basonne, one table with the tressells, one forme,  one buffett stoole, all my wearinge apparell;  Item I give to John Fisher my nephewe one kettle;  Item I give to Alice Hearne my brasse pott standinge in the nether howse;  Item I give to my sister Ellens sonnes William and John one blacke cowe;  Item I give to my god chilldren xij d a peece;  Item I give to my maide Jane Peake, one barrell one tubb, one pewter dishe,  one posnett, and one cofer;  Item I give to my brother Christopher Fisher, my howse wherein I dwell duringe his life, which was given to him by my husband Thomas James in trust for my use, and doe make him my sole and whole executor of this my laste will and testament;  and my will is that wheare my husband Thomas James did give to Willyam Cooke for tearme of his life in trust to my use the howse wheare nowe I dwell;  I doe give and bequeath it to my sister Annie Travells daughters Mary Travill, and Annie Travill duringe the life of Willyam Cooke, to begine after my decease and my brother Christopher Fisher;  In witnes to this my laste will and testament I have set my hande and seale, the  xxix th of October in the yeare above saide  Witnesses Robert ... Christopher Fisher and Thomas Parratt with others
