In the Name God of God Amen The Ninth day of June in the yeare of our Lord One Thousand Six hundred ffiftie and Two I Robert Travell of Bullendon End in the p[ar]ish of Hanslop in the Countie of Bucks yeoman being weake and sicke of body but of good Remembrance thankes be given to Almighty God  Doe hereby make this my last Will and Testament in  manner and forme following  ffirst I commend my Soule into handes of Almighty God my maker hopeing through the Merrits of my blessed Saviour Jesus Christ to have free Remmission of all my Sinness  And my Body I commend to the Earth whereof it was made and to be decently Buried in the p[ar]ish Church of Hanslop aforesaid as near as may be to my deare father Marke Travell  Now concerning all my Worldly Goods and Estate I will and bequeath as followeth  Item I give and bequeath unto Alice my loveing wife( upon Condicon hereafter menconed and expressed) my Three Closes and Twelve Acres of Arrable lands with their appurtenances lyeing and beinge in the p[ar]ish of Hanslop aforesaid hereafter menconed and expressed That is to say Littlefields Close Parkwall Close and Acridge Close or Gilton furlong one halfe Acre butting on a hedland of Christopher Courseye halfe an Acre more on the same furlong butting as the other One Acre lying  together and butting on Parkgate  Two lands lying together with a hedland whereon those two lands butt and contayneing one Acre and lying on the same furlong One Acre lying together on Stonhill furlong butting on John Cooks land One halfe Acre on Rook........ furlong butting on the Parkwall,  halfe an Acre on  Stocking furlong butting on new Close  One Acre lying together by Sandhill furlong and butting on John Cookes hedland, halfe an Acre more lying on the same furlong next the the land of Christopher Coursey Two Acres lying together shooting through two inclosures and butting on  Haversham Brooke  Two Acres more lying together and butting on H....well   One Acre lying together in Deanefield next the land of Thomas Tyrill Junior on the Northside  And I doe give alsoe to my said Wife Two Roomes on the North End of my dwelling house now in the occupacon of Mathew Mabley in Bullindon End aforesaid To Have  and to hold the aforesaid Three Closes and Arrable lands with their hadens and appurtenances And the said two roomes of my dwelling house  unto the said my wife for and during the terme of natural life provided alwayes upon condition that shee the said Alice together with the ffeoffers in Trust shall ymmediatly next after my decease yield up relinquish and make voyde that joyntment and Estate which my said father Mark Travell made to them by his Deeds at or before the soleminizacon of our marriage  Item after the death and decease of Alice my said wife I give and bequeath the aforesaid Three Closes and Arrable Land with their appuntenances to my eldest sonne Marke Travell and to his heires for ever And whereas my wives brother Edward Adkins of Overson in the countie of Northton gent to pay to me or mine executors the summe of ffifty Pounds of lawfull money of England after the death and decease of Phillis ...... the said Edward Adkins his mother as by his bond appeares  Item that whensoever the said ffifty Pounds shalbe and due and payable  I give and bequeath ffourty eight pounds whereof to Six of my other Children Elizabeth Robert Thomas Henry William and Mathew, equally to be devided among them and to come to them at their severall and respective ages by the discretion of my executors  And if it happens that any of my said Six Children do depart this world before their said severall and repective yeares as shalbe due and payable that then her his or their portion so dying shall remayne to my Executors to be disposed by them towards the paying of my debts Item all and every the residue of my Goodes and Chattells whatsoever the Lease of my ffarme wherein I dwell Together with the residue of my freehold Land or Lease land ....shall require, My minde and meaning is shalbe said by mine Executors for the discharge and payment of my debts and funerall And whatsoever shall remayne overplus after my said debts being satisfied and my funerall expences discharged my will and meaning is that it shall remayne to my said wife and my said Six Children And I make my said wife together with my brother in Law John Beauchamp and my uncle William St ......mine Executors And I do hereby revoke and renounce all former Wills and bequeasts by mee made  And I make my sone Thomas Travell of Haversham gent and my said brother in Law Edward Adkins to be overseers of this my last Will and Testament And for further confirmation I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare above written in the presence of those whose names are hereunto subscribed Robert Travell  Memoranda that befour the sealing and signeing hereof the name of John Beauchamp was Interlyned.  The witnesses names Thomas
