In the name of god Amen: The xix th day of January 1616 I Willyam Banckes of Hanslapp, beinge in good and perfect remembrance, thankes be to allmightie god doe make this my laste will and testament in manner and forme followinge; ffirste I comitt my soule to allmightie god my maker and redeemer, and my bodie to be buried in the churchyarde of Hanslapp aforesaide; Item I give to my sonne John Banckes xij d Item I give to James Banckes my sonne xij d Item I give to Anne Banckes xij d this portion to be paide unto them within one twelfe moneth after my decease; all the rest of my goodes I give to Anne Banckes my wife whome I make my whole executor to pay all my debtes and legacies, and to see my bodie brought to the grownde; In witnes wheareof, I have set to my hande, the day and yeare above written Witnesses John Scrivene and Luke Parrott Proved 29th April 1616
