In the name of God Amen I William Cooke the elder of Hanslapp in the Countie of Bucks yeoman being in perfect memory (blessed bee God) doe make and ordaine this my Last Will and Testament in manner and forme following  ffirst I comend my Soule in to the hands of Allmighty God  And my Bodie to bee buried in the Churchyard of Hanslapp aforesaid Item I give and bequeath to my youngest sonne William Cooke and Margarett my daughter the now wife of Richard Parrott of Hanslapp  aforesaid blacksmith that Messuage or Tenement with all and singular the profitts comodities and appurtenances belonging to the same situate and being in Church end in the parish of Hanslapp aforesaid equally to be divided betweene them lying next ... the house of Thomas Finnall North and Henry Newman South  Item I give and bequeath to my said sonne William and my said daughter Margarett all my Cowes Bullocks and sheepe equally to bee divided betweene them  Item I give to my said daughter Margarett the biggest pott of brass in my house, one of the biggest brasse pans a warming pann, a spice mortar, a Chafing dish an Iron dripping pann, a cheese presse which is in the house of Edward Coy the younger, a saltinge trough  and one of the Chestes Item I give to my eldest sonne John Cooke 5 shillings  Item I give to my said sonne William halfe part of the house wherein I now live with halfe of th'arrable land,  meadows, closes, pightells, commons  profitts and comodtiies whatsoever to the said house belonging for the terme of three yeares after my decease  Item I give to my said sonne William all my Cart,s Ploughs, harnesse and horses and alsoe the hovells about my said house and yards  Item I give to the poore of Hanslapp 10 shilling to bee distributed unto them by my said sonne William and Margarett my said daughter whom I make Executors of this my last will and Testament  And for my Overseers of the the same Thomas Bell of Ashton and Richard Parrott of Castletropp  Blacksmith  In Witnesse whereof I the said  William Cooke the elder have hereunto sett my hand and seale the nine and twentieth day of September 1643 Sig William Cooke Senior Sealed and delivered in the presence of To: Parrey William ffasson Richard Parrott.
