In the name of god Amen the xij daie of March Anno Dom 1609 I William Coursey the elder of Hanslopp in th Countie of Bucks bachelor being sick and  dyseased in my body but of good remembrance thanks bee to Almightie god do make this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge  first I bequeathe my soule to Almightie god trusting to be saved by my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ   And my body to be buried near the chanccell in the church yard of Hanslopp Also I geve to the mother church of Lincolne ij d   Also I geve and bequeath to the thre[e] children of my brother Ralfe Coursey to each of them three shepe   Also I geve and bequeath to Joane my maid one heyfer of three yeres of age  Also I geve to my thre[e] cosins Edmond Coursey Jespar Coursey and Cassander Coursey to each of them a shepe  Also  I geve to Ralf Coursey my brother one browne heyfer  Also I geve and bequeath to the children of Thomas Coursey  my brother Christofer's sone a cow to be to their use and the profitts arising thereof to mayntayne them   Also I geve bequeath to my kinsman Thomas Coursey my brother Christofers son and to William Coursey his brother to each of them a shepe  Also I geve and bequeath to the poore people of Hanslopp ten shillings to be dylivered amongst them by the churche wardens and the overseers viz that is to saye Richard Ellis and William Ashbe and for there paines iiijd a piece  Also I geve and bequeath to Joane my mayd the bed that is  in the  nether chamber  All the rest of my goods and chattells and the lease of my house and tack I have therein I geve and bequeath to Edmond Coursey my brother whom I make my sole executor of this my last will and testament and to see.my debts paid and my funerall discharged  These being witnesses William Coursey his mark     Guy Forster  Richard Ellis William Ashby Rowland Hillson
