In the name of God Amen I Henry Newman the elder of Hanslopp in the Countie of Bucks yeoman being weake in body but of good and perfect memory (blessed bee Allmightie [God] for itt) doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament  And first I give and bequeath my soule onto the hands of Allmight God my Maker, and to Jesus Christ my saviour and Redeemer, and to the holy and blessed spiritt my Sanctifier and preserver three persons but one Eternal everlastinge and ever Loving God whom through his Grace I have served and through his helpe I will serve forever.  And my body to the earth from when itt was taken in surer and certaine hope of a glorious Resurreccon att the last day when the world shall bee consumed with fire according as itt is written in the blessed word of God  And as for my worldly Estate which God of his infinite mercy hath lent mee I doe give and dispose in manner and forme followinge ffirst my Will is that the Article of Agreement made betweene mee the said Henry Newman and my now wife Elizabeth Bearing date the thirtyith day of December in the yeare of our Lord One thousand six hundred fiftie and three shall bee wholye fullfilled accordinger to the true meaninge of the same.  Alsoe I give to my said wife Elizabeth all the houshold goods which shee brought with her unto mee upon my Intermarriage unto her, and alsoe a loade of fire wood out of my yard Alsoe I give to my daughter Elizabeth twentie pounds to bee paid by my Executors in forme and manner followinge (That is to say) Tenn pounds thereof to my said wife within one yeare after my decease for the bringinge up of my said daughter  And the other Tenn pounds unto my said daughter when shee shall attaine to the age of one and twenty yeares (if shee bee then living) As a porton over and above the Artlcles of Agreement before menconed made with my said wife  Alsoe I giver to the poore people of Hanslopp thirty shillings to bee given unto them by my Executors herein menconed uppon St Thomas Day next after my decease Alsoe I give to the poore of Stony Stratford Tenne shillings to be given unto them att the same time Alsoe I give to the poore of Newport Pagnell Tenne shillings to bee given unto them at the same time.  Alsoe I give to the poore of Olney Tenne shillings to be given to them at the same time  Alsoe I give to Widdowe Perkins of Hanslopp fifteene shillings to bee paid unto her out of that Money which shee now oweth mee.  Alsoe I give to my mayde servant Tenne shillings to be paid unto her within six monthes after my decease Alsoe I give to my eldest sonne Henry Newman the sume of Tenne shillings Alsoe I give and devise unto John Newman my second sonne  All those Lands which I have any wayes purchased within the said parish of Hanslopp or elsewhere unto my said sonne John his heires and Assignes forever  Alsoe I give and bequeath unto my said sonne John the sume of ffifty pounds of Lawfull English money to bee paid unto him by my Executors when hee shall attaine ther age of one and twenty yeares Provided and my Will and meaninge is That if itt shall happen that my said sonne Henry shall dye and leave his Estate to discend unto my said sonne John his second brother before the said John attaines to the said Age of one and twenty yeares That then the said fiftie poundes shall bee paid by my Executors unto my daughters Mary and Anne when they shall attaine unto their Age of one and twenty yeares Alsoe I give to my said twoe daughters Mary and Anne one hundred pounds apeece of lawfull English money to bee paid unto them likewise by my said Executors when they shall attaine to the Age of one and twenty yeares or att the tyme of their marriages which shall first happen Provided they are ruled by my Executors and match according to their mindes And further my will is that if any of my said children John Mary and Anne shall happen to dye before they attaine to their Age aforesaid That then the legacy due to him or her soe dyeing shalbe equally given to the other of them my said three children which are then livinge  All the rest and residue of my goods and chattells unbequeathed my debts funerall and Legacies being paid and discharged my will is shall remaine in the hands of my Executors hereafter menconed for the bringinge up of my three children last menconed  And humbly desire my said Executors that if any moneyes shalbe remaining in their hands when my said children are growne up That they will give the same amongst my said three children accordinge to their discrecon when they shall attaine to the age aforesaid  And I doe make and ordaine my Loving friends John Hillesdon of Stoke Goldington Clerke John Newman of Olney Maulster and William Hillier of Hanslopp yeoman the only Executors in Trust to see this my Will fullfilled  And I give them for their paines Six shillings and Eight pence apeece  And I desire my lovinge neighbours William Newman Josias Glover and Robert Gooddman to bee my Overseers to see this my Will to bee fullfilled, and I give them for their paines twelve pence apeece  And in Testimony that this is my last Will and Testament I have hereunto sett my hand and seale this second day of December in the yeare of our Lord God One thousand six hundred fiftie and Eight (Henry Newman) Signed sealed published acknowledged and declared to bee my last Will and Testament in the presence of Henry Davers The marke of Sarah Toy Joseph Daukes
