In the Name of God Amen  The Thirteenth day of September in the Two and Thirtieth yeare of the Reign of our Sovereigne Lord Charles the second by the Grace of God of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland King defender of the ffaith Anno Dom 1680

I William Hilyer the elder of Hanslop in the County of Bucks yeoman, being sick in body but of good and p[er]fect Remembrance thanks be to Almighty God doe make and set downe this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following

ffirst I give and bequeath my Soul to Almighty God my maker trusting to be saved by my Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ and my body to be buried in the Parish of Hanslop aforesaid

As for my worldly goods it hath pleased God to endow me with I give and bequeath them as followeth

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto Anne Hilyer my wife all the brass and pewter with the Beds and bedding she brought with her  Two browne Cowes which were hers

Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Marke Parratt the wife of John Parrat of Castlethrop and to her Children the sume of three pounds of lawful mony of England to be paid within Twelve months after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth the daughter of John Hilyer my brother the sume of fourty shillings of like lawful mony of England

Item I give and bequeath unto my said wife Anne Hilyer so much hay as will winter her two Cowes this next winter

And I doe Constitute ordaine and make William Hilyer my Sonne my Sole and only Executor of this my last Will and Testament and to him the said William Hilyer I give and bequeath all the rest of my goods and Chatteles whatsoever not here mentioned to pay my lawfull and inst debts and to see my funerall discharged   And I doe hereby renounce all former Wills Guifts grants and bequeaths whatsoever In witnesse whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal the day and yeare first above written The marke of William Hilyer signed and sealed in ye presence of Mary Tyte John....  John fforster
