Alce Emberton of Hanslop In the name of God amen I Alce Emberton of Hanslop in the countie of Bucks widowe being sicke in bodie but of p[er]fect remembrance thanks be given to god doe make and ordayne this my last will and testament the eighth day of May Anno. Dom.1620 and the eighteenth yeare of his Maiesties Raigne as foloweth ffrirst I give and beqeuath my soule into the hands of Allmightie god my maker and Saviour and my redeemer trusting to be saved by the onlie merits of his sonne Jesus Christ and my bodie to be buried in the Churchyard of Hanslop aforesayd Item I give unto Edward Horne my second sonne twentie pounds of lawfull money of England, to be payd within sixe monthes next after my decease and two bedsteads standing in the Hall chamber and one great hamper full of lasts and all the furniture which doe belong to his trade being a shoemaker and a Coffer the best save one and the third part of all my linnen brasse and pewter as ye shalbe equalie devided betweene him and his two brothers Item I give unto Edward my sonne my best coverlett and one blankett: Item I give unto Mathias my youngest sonne three and twentie pounds of lawfull money of England to be payd unto him when he shall accomplishe the age of xxi yeares and one Cupbord standing in the haul and one bedsteed standing in the kitchin chamber one coverlett next to the best and one blankett, and the third parte of all my lynen brasse and pewter and one little table standing in the Hall and two ioyned stooles and one flock bed. Item I give more unto Edward my sonne one coffer more and one boulster filled with ffethers and one flock bolster and lynen I give unto Mathias my youngest sonne one coffer standing at my bedsteede and an other coffer standing of the chambers All the rest of my goods and chatteles whatsoever I give and bequeath unto Richard Horne my eldest sonne to se my debts payd my funerall charges and other things finished whome I make my whole executor my overseers of this my last will and testament moreover I make and ordayne William Orpin and Benitt Birchmore my overseers and doe give them for ther paynes 3 shillings 4 pence to either of them Sealed and delivered in the presence Bennett Birchmore William Orpin and Thomas Churche Proved 23rd July 1620 |
