In the name of God Amen I William Bennett of Hanslapp in the County of Bucks yeoman beinge sick in body But of good and perfect remembrance of mind Thanks bee given unto God for the same  I have ordaine and make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme ffolloweing  That is to say first I bequeath my Soule unto Allmighty god who Created it And from whom it came  And to Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer through whose merritts I beleeve I am saved And to the holy ghost who Sanctified it three persons and one only true and liveinge god who is the Creator and maker of all thinges whom I doe acknowledge and adore And for my body I bequeath unto the earth from  whence it was taken to bee buryed at the discretion of my Executrix in hope of the resurrection thereof with Jesus Christ at his comeinge And for my worldly Estate whether of Lands Tenements goods Chattle or Cattells I give them and bequeath them in manner and forme ffolloweinge That is to say Whereas I William Bennett by my Indenture beareinge date the eight and twentieth day of December in the yeare of our Lord god one thousand six hundred ffifty and three Did make over an Estate of all that my Cottage or Tenement situate lyeinge and beinge in Longstreet in Hanslapp aforesaid with the yard orchard garden outhouses and Close thereunto adioyneinge with one Close more called Jeffreys Close there And two acres of ley ground lyeinge in Wigland feild and one roode of meadow lyeinge in long mead there alsoe for the considerations therein expressed unto Sarah my welbeloved wife for and dureinge the tearme of her naturall life for her Joynture and after life to the heir of our two bodies lawfully to bee begotten  And for default of such heire Then to the right heire of mee the sayd William Bennett fforever Provided alwaies and my will is That Sarah my welbeloved wife shall enioy the sayd premisses for dureinge the Tearme of her naturall life as it is befour expressed  And after her life to th heires of our two bodies lawfully to bee begotten accordinge to the Purport and effect of the sayd Indenture befour recited And for default of Such heire I give and bequeath the before granted premisses with the Appurtenances unto William Page my Sister Joans Sonne and to his heires fforever  Provided alwaies and my will is That within one yeare after that the sayd William Page enters thereon That he shall pay out of the sayd premisses before recited The summe of ffive pounds of lawfull monie unto Henry Bennett my brother John Bennetts eldest Sonne And the summe of ffive pounds like monie unto Ellen Bennett my brother John Bennetts eldest daughter Provided alwaies and my will is if the sayd William Page shall die without anie heire or issue of his body Then I give and bequeath the before recited premisses with their Appurtenances unto my brother Robert Bennett of North Crawley in the sayd County to him and his heires fforever with this proviso that hee the sayd Robert Bennett  or his heires shall well and truely pay out of the same premisses the before two mentioned summes of money before expressed within one yeare after hee or his heire enter thereon as it is before mentioned That is to say to Henry Bennett my brother John Bennetts eldest sonne five pounds of lawfull monie And to Ellen Bennett my brother John Bennetts eldest daughter five pounds of like lawfull monie  Alsoe I give unto Sara my welbeloved wife all that one acre of arrabell land lyeinge and being in certaine ffield in Hanslapp aforsayd called and knowne by the name of Rogers land And alsoe all that halfe acre of arrable land lyeinge and beinge in a certaine  field in Hanslapp aforesayd called and knowne by the name of Walsdon feild with all and Singular their Appurtenances for and dureinge the Tearme of her naturall life  And after her life to the heire of the heire of the body mee the sayd William Bennett and the body of Sarah my sayd welbeloved wife to bee lawfully begotten  And for default of such heire I give and bequeath the same after the decease  of my sayd wife unto the sayd Henry Bennett who is before mentioned unto him and his heires fforever  I alsoe give and bequeath unto my sayd brother John Bennett one bond wherein hee standeth indebted to mee in the summe of ffoure pounds and the same to bee delivered unto him by my Executors within one yeare after my decease  I alsoe give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Corm of Roode in the County of Northampton beinge my eldest Sister the summe of ffive pounds of good and lawfull monie to bee well and truely payd unto her by my Executors within one yeare alsoe after my decease  I alsoe give and bequeath unto my third Sister Joane Iremonger twelve pence to be payd immediatly afer my decease  I alsoe give and bequeath unto Alice Bennett of Hanslapp aforesayd beinge my youngest Sister the summe of five pounds alsoe of like lawfull monie to be alsoe well and truely paid unto her by my Executors within one yeare alsoe after my decease  Alsoe I give and bequeath unto Alice Bennett my youngest Sister aforesayd one Joyned Bedstead standinge in the Barne with one brasse pott which was my ffathers to bee well and truely delivered to her by my Executors immediately after my decease I alsoe give and bequeath unto the sayd William Page the somme of ffive pound good and lawfull as aforesaytd to bee well and truely payd to the Overseers of this my last will and Testament whose names hereafter shalbee mentioned and subscribed within three yeares after my decease To that end and purpose that they shall werl and truely put forth the sayd William Page to some good and honest ..... with the same provided alwaies and my will is if the sayd William Page do dye before the sayd somme of monie bee payd Then my will is that the sayd somme of money before mentioned shalbee well and truely payd by my Executors unto the sayd Alice Bennett my youngest Sister  withibn the sayd time before expressed  Alsoe I give and bequeath unto Mary Bennett my brother Robert Bennetts eldes daughter gthe somme of ffive pounds of good and lawfull money to bee well and truely payd unto her my Executors when shee comes to the age of eighteen yeares or day of her marriage which comes first  I alsoe give and bequeath unto Mary .... of the towne of Northampton beinge my welbeloved .... Sister the somme of Tenn shillings of like lawfull monie to bee well and truely payd to her by my Executors within one yeare after my decease I alsoe give and bequeath unto the aforesayd Ellen Bennett my brother John Bennetts eldest daughte the somme of Tenn shillings of like lawfull monie to bee well and truely payd to her by my Executors within one yeare after my decease I alsoe give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Bennett my brother John Bennetts youngest the somme of Tenn shillings of like lawfull mionie to bee alsoe well and truely payd unto her by my Executors within one yeare after my decease  I alsoe give and bequeath unto Ann Iremonger my Sister Joans daughter the somme of Tenn shillings of like lawfull monie to be well payd  by my Executors to the Overseer of this my last will and Testament within one yeare after my decease to that end and purpose that they shall apply the same to the best use for her good and benefitt untill shee comes to the age of eighteen yeares or day of marriage which comes first then shee to receive the same  And Moreover I nominate and appoint my brother Robert Bennett of North Crawley in the sayd County of Bucks yeoman  And my Brother Robert Corm of Roade in the County of Northampton Labourer uppon the speciall trust and confidence I have in them to bee Ovweerserrs of this my last Will and Testament  And I doe give them for their paynes the somme of three shiullings and foure pence apeece  And doe alsoe utterly renounce all fformer Wills guifts or grants whatsoever ffor all the rest of my goods Chattells ffunerall expences beinge discharged  I give and bequeath unto Sara my welbeloved wife Whom I make my whole and sole true Executrix of this my last will and Testament   In witnes whereof I William Bennett sett to my hand and seale this the sixteenth day of May in the yeare of our Lord god one thousand Six hundred ffifty and fowre  According to our English Accounts  The signe of William Bennett  Sealed and delivered in the presence of Christopher Cowley William Bauldwin The marke of  Clement Palmer
